I just wish someone asked Chauncey questions about his philosophy and vision. Brooke sorta touched on it, but still nothing remotely close to what Terry gave answers to 9 yrs ago.

Mentioned accountability a lot. Hopefully the stars will be held accountable for screw ups. Don't think they were under Terry.

accountability is nice. we needed that.

but it's hardly an identity for the team.

Yeah, it's impossible to say for sure since he's never been a head coach before. He probably doesn't even know what kind of system he will run since the roster will probably go through a major overhaul.

Will it though? Do we really trust Neil to actually make that happen?

I think next seasons roster will look significantly different…..for one reason or another.

I think next season’s roster will look almost identical. Few changes. Remember, it wasn’t the roster that was the problem right? No need to change it then.

    Only in Olshey's eyes.

I agree I could see not only Oshley not wanting to change but also Billups wanting to give this squad a go before making a change. Not easy to give up the shiny new toy (one of the best scoring backcourts in NBA). Plus Oshley has hard time pulling trigger on big trades

We have 7 guys (counting Blevizzle) who are free agents. I think the team will look different.

yeah, but I don’t think any of the top three guys will be traded tbh. I wouldn’t be surprised if Olshey attached a first or two to a bigger contract again though and got another Roco type role player. Kinda why I’m hoping DJJ opts in.

I know he was talking (before) about ball movement without selfishness. That alone is 180 change from Stotts.

I wonder if part of that was Blazers intentionally shortening the press conference because they were so scared there would be more questions about the past?

He said Sheed would be coming to see him in Portland...I don't remember him saying anything about coaching here but if he wanted to I'd love it....I did see that Big Ben wanted to come here and I could see him and Sheed working with Chauncey...would be awesome..he also said Sheed would let him know great places to go in the city and places to avoid...I think that was about food

i really enjoyed that interview. He seems to understand how much Blazer fans live and breathe the blazers. But I’ve always loved Billups. The way he handled himself on the court was pure professionalism.

He needs to wear a suit and shirt a few sizes bigger. That collar is about to pop. I feel sorry for the stressed-out tie holding it together. The skin-tight suit was not made for his wrestler's body. Did he buy it off the rack?
