    Priority #1: Retaining Norman Powell

    Expects a CJ McCollum trade

Looking for a backup center - Kanter out?

    My assessment:

    Probably not happening.

    Probably not happening.

Not surprising, but more so because of Zach than because of Kanter.

....and they are not making the QO to Zach. He is a FA.

What an epic waste of 2 first round Draft picks.

I saw that. Doesn’t mean they won’t re-sign him, but it would have to be a minimum deal for a year, with the opportunity to give him a bigger contract the next season if he gets healthy.

True....but I was just referring to the 2 wasted on Zach.

Then he wastes another one an another PF when he just spent 2 picks to move up to get a PF. If he was that good, why use another pick on a PF?

Just a horrible Draft that again set the Blazers back after the disaster of 2016. Multiple Olympians on that team taken AFTER Zach. Damn! :banghead2::banghead2:

Quick said a couple weeks ago that Boston was a team with interest in CJ. I’ll be surprised if Olshey pulls the trigger, but Marcus Smart would definitely interest me. Could throw in Tristan Thompson and one of their minimum guys to make the money work.

Such an awful draft. Went from 3 firsts on the table for PG to two wasted picks on PF’s.

I can't help myself, but every time I see Cam Johnson make a good play or good shot, I think about him being a #11 pick and then I think about Leonard and Collins being #10 picks.

That's OK, just pivot, and think about this:

Don't because Giannis was taken at 15. Thinking about Giannis and Dame on the same team is a total nightmare for me. That would be a championship contender for multiple years.

Giannis wasn't particularly distinguishable from his brother.

Neil can only draft well if it’s in the second round.

I just really hope we can get a forward out of CJ so Norm can start next to Dame. I think a Dame/Norm back court would be really balanced and we need another starting forward to play next to RoCo... despite how many times people say it the NBA is not a positionless league.

Still. He became a superstar. If you're going to show that picture as proof to make us feel better, it kinda does until you think about Giannis there. Still hurts more to me than drafting Zach who became injury prone.

It's easy to second guess NeO after he failed now to be honest I thought it was a slight reach myself BUT sometimes you have to take a gamble and sometimes it does not pay off. I mean who could see the future that Collins would almost make Oden look durable and the Blazers at the time needed PF to groom and guess what it did not work out shit happens. However I will say this the Blazers have taken chances during Dames time on 2 busts in the lotto -- Myers and now Collins so I will say maybe the scouting dept needs to get some new blood in it. I am NOT taking all the blame off NeO cause he deserves some but it's not ALL on him ( looking at you scouting Dept )

Surprised we are doing anything roster wise…… wasn’t it Stott’s fault?

I’d love Marcus Smart. Gritty, tough defender, the opposite of CJ. I’d actually prefer we re-sign Powell though and trade CJ for a decent to good wing player.
