That's what I was thinking as well. No need for Chauncey to be there. Unless it's a last ditch effort by Neil and Chauncey to get him to stay. But I don't think that's the case.

Awesome! Even though we don't always agree, and you have a tendency to take every statement literally, I always enjoy reading your takes. I will say they are usually devoid of emotion, which I think makes them very objective, but at the same time it sometimes feels robotic. But take that as a compliment, since I don't believe there is anyone else here who is a regular poster that gives the same type of insights.

 

If we had a chance at a guy like Simmons who is not a fit with Nurk or KAT that plays Nurk's position, then I'd want to trade Nurk. I'm not about trying to force fits that aren't there like we've been doing the last six damn years with Dame and CJ.

If we don't acquire a big star that either occupies Nurk's position or (like Nurk) can't shoot the three then Nurk is a great player to have.

 

My dream is the conversation goes as follows:

NO/CB: "if you want to make it work in PDX, we need you to make the strongest possible public statement that you are in it for the long haul. We won't have many if any options if everyone thinks you are out the door."
