pistons would trade him, theyre rebuilding and not close to competing and hes 27 yo

but youd have to make the right offer, whatever that may be

im guessing it would take young players (simons and/or little and a pick)

Both picks are unprotected. Throw in swaps in 2023. RoCo becomes the 6th man, but it's a 3 man rotation at the wings between RoCo, Harris and Grant. Nas gets spot minutes.

    No on Tobias.

    He’s a 3rd option being paid like a megastar 1st option.

    Thybulle or Simmons

    Wing/PF targets

    Simmons
    Siakam
    Isaac
    Grant
    Ingram

idk how many of them could even be had, but they’re the guys I’d target.

Tobias + Thybulle for CJ, Jones, and two picks would be a great deal for us. Tobias is great, but he’s not the guy you want taking on the scoring load end of games. Fortunately we have a dude to do that.
We could use our MLE for a wing that can distribute or PG that can play D (Batum, Cory Joseph).

    lillard/Simons/(Joseph)
    Powell/thybulle
    Roco/thybulle
    Harris/Little
    nurkic/(Batum)/Ed Davis

I think CJ, Simmons, and Embiid would fit really well together.

I would think that if Harris was added to our team at this point, it would not be seen as enough for Dame... even Tobias and Shake wouldn't be that great but it does get us scoring and better defense, it just doesn't get Dame a second legit star to play with.

More importantly Tobias isn't the starter that Philly is trying to move. Their not trying to move one shot maker, who can get his own for another. They're trying to trade Simmons. So we're not getting Harris and Shake for CJ. We're also not getting Simmons for CJ straight up... it would have to be CJ and probably three firsts and that would be after we convinced them that they're never getting Dame.

Ah, tell us more about your sources in the Philly front office and all of their plans. It makes perfect sense that they’d be set on selling Simmons when his value is at lowest and holding on to their second highest paid player who operates best in the mid-range (which Morey hates), but I’m glad you could confirm that’s the plan for us.

These are two different trades. The Sixers trade doesn't make a lot of sense fore either team.

If we could pull off getting Jerami Grant for what you put up there... we do it. That would probably be, for Dame's sake, all we'd have to do this off season.

I want CJ gone too, I wouldn't be mad at this trade, I just don't think we would do it if we got a Jerami Grant and like I said, the Sixers are looking to trade Simmons for scoring help not trade away the scoring they already have for other scoring. If the Grant deal went down I think the move to make after that would be using CJ and Nurk to upgrade our starting center position.

Oh and every other major new outlet in the country is saying that Philly is shopping Simmons... not Harris. Doc Rivers has openly complained about Simmons... not Harris. I don't have to have "sources" the teams head coach and every reporter in basketball with sources are backing up what I'm saying.

Yes, that is the scuttlebut. However, two weeks ago they weren’t trading Simmons and last week it would take two picks plus an all-star. You act like it’s black and white, you know what they’re going to go, and they’d immediately hang up on anyone that makes an offer to the untouchable Tobias Harris. My point is you don’t know shit and maybe should be less authoritative on knowing what teams are doing on a trade speculation thread.

One of the best 4-team trade ideas I've ever come up with:

Philadephia 76ers Get: C.J. McCollum, Fred VanVleet, 2022 POR 1st
Portland Trail Blazers Get: Pascal Siakam
Toronto Raptors Get: Ben Simmons, Tyrese Maxey, Eric Bledsoe, Steven Adams, 10th Pick, 2025 POR 1st
New Orleans Pelicans Get: Chris Boucher, George Hill
    ____________
Philadephia 76ers Get: C.J. McCollum, Fred VanVleet, 2022 POR 1st
Philadelphia 76ers Trade: Ben Simmons, Tyrese Maxey, George Hill

Philly gets an extremely dynamic 3-man backcourt here. Could try to package some combination of the 28th pick, future 1sts and Shake Milton to add depth in the frontcourt (They have an $8.2M TPE to make this happen).

    VanVleet / McCollum
    McCollum / Curry
    Trade Candidate? / Thybulle
    Harris / Tax-MLE Signing?
    Embiid / Vet Min Signing?
    ____________
Portland Trail Blazers Get: Pascal Siakam
    Portland Trail Blazers Trade: C.J. McCollum, 2022 POR 1st, 2025 POR 1st

    Worth it IMO.

    Lillard / Simons
    Powell / Simons
    Covington / Little / DJJ
    Siakam / Covington
    Nurkic / Tax-Payer MLE
    ____________
Toronto Raptors Get: Ben Simmons, Tyrese Maxey, Eric Bledsoe, Steven Adams, 10th Pick, 2025 POR 1st
Toronto Raptors Trade: Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, Chris Boucher

I love this for Toronto to kick off a rebuild (they might still be a playoff team with this lineup). They could try to package #4, #10, (and maybe the future POR 1st) to move up to #2 & draft Evan Mobley. Houston could still take Green or Suggs at #4.

    Long-term Lineup:
    PG - Tyrese Maxey
    SG - Gary Trent Jr
    SF - OG Anunoby
    PF - Ben Simmons
    C - Evan Mobley
    ____________
New Orleans Pelicans Get: Chris Boucher, George Hill
New Orleans Pelicans Trade: Steven Adams, Eric Bledsoe, 10th Pick

New Orleans' gets off of Adams and Bledsoe's contracts (apx. $35M the next two years) for two expirings totaling apx. $17M who are really good fits in Hill and Boucher. They also get a Traded Player Exception worth $18.1M to use. Guess who fits perfectly in that? Myles Turner.

A package of a 1st or two, Kira Lewis, and Jaxson Hayes for Myles Turner, and then a tax-payer MLE signing (Alec Burks?) and you have something that looks like this:

    Lonzo / Hill
    Burks / Hart
    Ingram / Alexander-Walker?
    Zion / Boucher
    Turner / Boucher

    That's a team that could have a Suns-like rise.

3 firsts and 2 swaps for Holiday. Making a difference.

don't forget, the Bucks also traded their 3rd best player for a much better 3rd best player who could also run the offense. Massive upgrade from Bledsoe to Holiday. Isn't CJ Portland's 3rd best player?

First of all, Giannis and Middleton are a clear 1&2.
Milwaukee’s “third best player”, of that iteration of their team, was Brook Lopez in my opinion.
We know you hate CJ. Comparing CJ to a guy who has YouTube videos “What happened to Eric Bledsoe’s Career” is disingenuous at best.

you do know that saying somebody is being "disingenuous" is an insult, right?

Bledsoe was 3rd on the Bucks in minutes, scoring, & PER, and 2nd in assists. More importantly, he was 3rd on the team in salary which is relevant when it comes to trades

I wasn't comparing CJ, as a player, to Bledsoe, as a player. I was comparing their roles on their respective teams in terms of trade leverage.

I know there are people who disagree with me, but Simmons is the play.

He is exactly the kind of high risk/high reward move we need to make.

He's already an All-Star and a really good defender, but if you can unlock his potential offensively, the guy becomes a top 5 player in the league. To me, that's worth the risk. He's only 24.

he certainly seems like the most available right now. And for sure, both sides of the high-risk/high-reward equation are in the red zone

would he be worth CJ + one of Little/Simons + the somewhat standard price 3-4 picks & swaps?
