It's a little bit insane when you see the types of moves that Brooklyn have been making, then you look at the types of moves Neil has (or hasn't been willing to) make, If I were in Lillard's shoes. I'd also be saying "what the fuck"?

bunch of nonsense. Dame has gotten almost every single thing he has wanted with Portland and until about a month ago, everything in his 9 yrs was peachy and rosy.

A picture perfect relationship between city/team/player does not devolve into a guy taking paycuts to sit out in just weeks. To even write that bit that Dame would pull a Harden shows how out of touch Henry is. Gimme a break, dude. You are just writing shit to get clicks for yet another dying website after ESPN threw your ass out.

The part about Lillard willing to sit out games though. That one is quite funny.

don't buy the nonsense. We've known Dame up close and personally for 9+ yrs-- he's too embedded into the city and org to have such a messy divorce (if there ever is one).

This Abbot guy again? Really? And you guys are falling for it. He's just blowing smoke. Trying to get clicks.

If you hear it from Woj or something that's cause for concern. Not this Abbott. What a joke.

I disagree with your assertion here. This has been brewing for the last 3-4 years now.

IMO, Dames concerns have fallen on deaf ears

    Not even Woj.

    Chris Haynes.

Who has repeatedly said it's not even close to the point of him asking out.

He wanted CJ here, he got CJ here. He wanted Stotts, he got Stotts for about 5 yrs longer than he should have stayed. Think it was just a coincidence that Biofreeze (for whom he's the national face) was our jersey sponsor? His freaking talentless cousin got a guaranteed contract, etc etc.

Easy to blame Olshey and plenty to blame him for (don't want to rehash this yet again), but Dame has had quite a few perks here that he shouldn't and won't dismiss. It speaks to how deeply rooted he and his family are to the city/org, and he won't suddenly decide to sit out games in a threat of a trade demand. This is just common sense.

Exactly. This is ridiculous. Abbot might as well write for the National Enquirer. I bet his next story will be about how Adam Silver is really Nosferatu. What a bunch of trash.

So dame is willing to forgo money for a title?

Did he all the sudden become a free agent?!?

What kind of idiotic logic is that? Dame is willing to wait till the end of his contract to ring chase??

I mean, I can't even put into words just how dumb this line of thinking is.

    Yeah, it makes no sense.

I mean if he is willing to restructure his contract to help Portland get more cap space and flexibility that's great.

But, Dame isn't the type of guy who is going to sit

Does Olshey secretly want to rebuild? If he does nothing then that’s what I’m going to assume

I might be misunderstanding, but if I read that right, Dame and the Blazers could re-negotiate his contract next July since he signed his new deal in July 2019....BUT, only if Portland was under the salary cap....which they could be next July if they renounced all their free agents

no he apparently would be willing to re-negotiate his contract for other teams but not Portland.

What wiz linked states a renegotiation can only be used to increase salary. So not sure what the foregoing salary thing is from Abbott, unless it's paying fines for holding out/not reporting

my comment was tongue in cheek, trying to show how ridiculous the notion is, nothing actually to suggest dame would do such a thing.
