really wonder why we haven't brought him along yet. i dunno if it's a personnel clash with him/billups/brooks about who gets the front seat or if it's a $ issue (reported earlier that we apparently cheap out on paying for quality assistants)
Billups is a great hire & I agree that he'll have player's respect. But again, I said SUPPORT staff (meaning all the assistants). Brooks should be good, but the others are still underwhelming. Billups will need a lot more experience on that bench than he currently has.
I go from bright siding to doomsdaying a lot this off season. With all of these big name player development specialists... I feel like they're preparing for a rebuild. Is that reading to far into it?
To get this team the way it is constructed (Because Neil is gonna run it back again) to play solid defense they will have to re-develop pretty much the entire team? It's RE-Develop not RE-build.
How was this missed??? Two guys from our staff and one former staffer all going down to Orlando. This makes a ton of sense, player development was the strongest aspect of our staff and Orlando is the perfect situation for that.
“They aren’t our coach anymore” so we aren’t supposed to care and/or follow them. Sound familiar Mr. HCP?
But you did post this reply which is a far cry from “They aren’t our coach anymore. Who cares.” which is essentially your response to anything Stotts. Why you changing energy, pal
I don't think he's changing energy. He seems generally positive towards our former coaching staff. He is happy for the guys with new jobs and makes fun of people in here still hoping for Stotts to fail. Pretty consistent. I also think it's a little different since most of us hadn't met these guys or traveled with them or had the same source of income. I think his camaraderie with the personnel of this team is understandable. It gives him extra insight into how good they are but at the same time makes him biased towards giving them the benefit of the doubt.
