So looking at what NOLA has to offer, that deal would probably look like Ingram, Hayes, the #10 pick, the better 2022 first rounder out of theirs and the Lakers and then the same thing the better 2023 first rounder between them and the Lakers. That's if Olshey is complete chicken shit and doesn't want a superstar that is going to put pressure on him to win. I think at that point you get the best deal you can for CJ only taking back young talent and/or picks, you get younger by trading RoCo as well for youth or picks (You might offer CJ and RoCo for Simmons I saw on some Philly blogs that they thought that would be a good deal for them). I think at 27 Nurk would be a coin flip decision on whether you'd want to go younger and/or get picks for him but if your bringing on Hayes, you're probably shopping Nurk as well. If I did trade Nurk I'd try to send him to OKC with the #10 pick for pick #6 and #16. I'd draft Moody at 6 and Isaiah Jackson at 16. We'd have the full MLE so we could probably pick up two young players like Dennis Smith Jr. and Giannis's brother Kostas even though they're both restricted I don't think their current teams will go higher that 4M per season on them. If Olshey wants to give himself more time and be a total asshole a young rotation of Ant, Moody, Ingram, Simmons, Hayes, Nas, DJ, Jackson, Smith Jr. and Antetokounmpo would be young enough that if they underachieved he'd have a built in excuse but talented enough to overachieve for which Olshey would take the credit.
Better be 1 million dollars for every Blazers fan. That other stuff Ain't even close. Nawlins is drunk.
If engaged means N. Orleans called NeO and made an offer and Neo laughed and said thanks for the call but No thanks but until a Woj or someone mentions this i am going to file this under same place I put the rumor of Dame going to NeO and asking for a trade -- aka Trash Bin
c'mon man...Brown was a #3 pick in 2016; Tatum was a #3 pick the following year. No team that ends up with Dame will be trading two consecutive top-3 picks for him. At least not in the first 4-5 years after the trade. That's completely unrealistic...pie-in-the-sky wishful thinking the only way anything like you imagine would happen is if after trading Dame, the Blazers traded every other player over 23 years old and absolutely sucked for 3 or 4 seasons. Then, they might have a couple of top-3 picks.
What I hope is they are really talking about the "other " Guard and that's all I will say in this thread
It's yet to be seen what they'll get in free agency or if they are tampering and know Dame will demand a trade before the season starts and therefore will hold onto enough cap space to make a trade work. If we were rebuilding the assets they have that they would want to part with and be appealing to us would be: All of their future picks which would likely be very low given the impact Dame would have on their team. The Hornets first rounder in this next draft but it's protected starting with a top 18 protection next draft. The Mavs 2023 first rounder. Quickley, Toppin, Robinson, Knox and their first rounder from this draft Quentin Grimes. Then if they had held onto the ~27M in cap space to take on Dame's contract after sending us all of those young players, that would also be a big TPE.
I come back to see Blazers "fans" reiterating the media lies and keeping this non-story alive. Good work, guys.
I'll tell you again... this fucking forum doesn't keep anything alive. It has no bearing whatsoever on what happens with Dame or if this story stops. Believe me, fans of other teams are giving Dame trade stories a lot more clicks than Blazers fans and the stories and blogs don't have shit to do with if we get to keep him or not.
If it ever comes to Dame wanting out, Neil needs to be fired immediately because I don't want that mother fucker handling the future of the team. Bring in the next guy and he can trade Dame. Neil cannot be in charge of moving on from Dame.
