I think generically, Siakam has quite a bit more value. The gauge I'd use is this: there are only 2 or 3 teams where you can really see CJ being valued and where he'd fit as a starter. It's a very limited selection. On the other hand, Siakam can fit on a much wider selection of teams. And Siakam has versatile length and plays positions where the NBA places the highest value

I think one important factor a team considers when trading for a player is how much value that player would have around the league. Siakam has more than CJ

I'd give them CJ, one first and one swap. I prioritize players that can contribute right now (I think both Ant and Nas can) over picks. However, I can't imagine that they're trying to go older than Siakam in what they get as a Siakam return, so I think it needs a third team. I the Knicks miss out on Lowry in free agency they would likely send young players, picks and cap room for CJ.

ESPN's Dec 2020 ranked him #16. People that were ranked behind him that are arguably better are Booker and Zion. I would say that him being a top 20 player is definitely within reason, so I would go with arguably sounds fine to me.

I would give a first round pick and Simons. I think Ujiri would want Little instead so I'd probably do that. I would route CJ through New Orleans and they would give Toronto Jaxson Hayes, maybe another young guy and a couple first round picks they have from the Lakers. Maybe that is too much?

That’s an interesting proposal. I can see raptors saying yes. The pacers would have to end up saying yes. I bet Rick Carlisle would love to have a guard of CJ scoring ability

There's literally been one starting-caliber player that's been traded so far this off-season...

this three way would have worked at the trade deadline, when Ball could have been traded. Now that he is a free agent, I don't know how it could work. Although I guess it could since New Orleans has big cap space now.

Dame isn't going to request a trade because we haven't made a move before almost the entire league has made moves... cmon man.

How great would it be if he were to become a Laker killer off the bench? Nothing would annoy Laker fans more than this :bored:

IMO, Dames knows we dont have that many assets and that CJ and some will not bring the next super star here. In fact I would bet Chauncey and Dame both have input on who they target for trading CJ as the main piece for.

I still don’t see any path towards a title contender for the Blazers right now. I don’t think Lillard is dumb either. So…I don’t see it ending well. Either he knows this and is bluffing or he doesn’t and maybe he’s not as smart as I think. They have to hope that some team or teams make a bad move or value our players a lot more than they’re worth.
