Tell me, does the restaurant at the top of the Needle still revolve in a circle very slowly. Took my wife there at night and wow, the view.

There are a lot of historical facts posted along the way to the elevator ride and this one in particular caught my eye – the 125 ton restaurant that goes round and round is turned by a single 1 horsepower motor. Not that it is free energy, but goes to show that when you have good engineering and you can balance 125 tons that well that you can rotate it for less than 800 watts! Here’s a picture of that sign as well as a few other pics I snapped of the Space Needle. NOTE: Apparently, the original motor was 1HP, now it is 1.5HP.
Power is volts times amperage electrical current. I'll bet it uses a lot of juice. Apply that volt across a low enough resistance and you've got an awful lot of power.

Not vacation but interlude. Joan Jett played first concert since pandemic outdoors in San Francisco yesterday. Rare sunny day in San Francisco. Packed big picnic lunch. Danced all afternoon in best lesbian punk attire and bare feet. Bet you didn't think I had it in me.
I’m thinking about cancelling my trip to Los cabos in two weeks. Seems reckless to travel right now. Idk what do you guys think
Are you vaccinated? If you and yours are vaccinated you should go. I went to Mexico in May had a great time it was shocking and how many people are wearing masks and the resort we stayed at was very very careful and very very clean.
