They aren't going to get him, so why even debate it?

This is a forum. We can dream about something other than being bounced in the first round, right?

I don't actually think it would happen. Jesus.

Fischer said he wouldn't even sign with LA for the TPMLE. Why would he do that here?

DeRozan is 6’6 220 and only one year older than CJ, If we can somehow create more cap space while trading him out for CJ I’m all for it.

Enjoy running it back if that is what you really want.

We gotta take a chance. Maybe Kawhi isn't that guy. Somethings gotta happen to get us out of purgatory.

To be clear, if there is any chance you can get Kawhi without giving up Dame then sure, go for it. Even if he sits out a year. But 0% chance.

kawhi did everything in his power to get in los angeles and some people think he would leave

his main goal was to live & play in los angeles, he already won two chips and was two times finals mvp, he has nothing to prove

he couldve even join lebron & davis if he wanted more chips, but he said "no", god knows what steve ballmer gave him

Always liked Holmes but that is an overpay. No wonder bad teams stay bad.

    1. I didn't hear that he rejected LA

    2. I don't really think DeRozan is going to sign here

Not if they follow the rules. If the don't sign and trade, use the MLE or BAE... they don't get hard capped. That's it. So they can sign their players with bird, early bird to max contracts, early bird rights to 175% of their previous salary and non bird rights to 125% of theirs and go as far over the salary cap as they please and have a taxpayer MLE every off season.

If a team had 14 players on their roster that made an all nba team during their previous contract that was three seasons or more that team could have a salary of ~560M in theory.
