well you glossed over a pretty big point. if we were to trade CJ and move Norm to SG, we would obviously be better balanced. But our GM seems hellbent on this 3 guard lineup bullshit.

What I don't get is how Neil can rationalize this come training camp.

I was asking if that is the only thing you don't get? Because of course we could all say we don't get it. But do you have other problems with the lineup?

True, Must get some impact help on bench. Could happen in a CJ trade. But if not, have go find it.

Last year's looked less weak? It had more "names" but they were past prime names.

    ?

no just the pretty damn big one of dame-cj-powell. Neil has until the deadline to realize this isn't really sustainable. If he's gonna use the net rating numbers from the end of the season to rationalize it, he's more deluded than i figured.

DJ and picks for a forward upgrade is the obvious move.

I still think DJ Jr. can play with the right coach. I would like to give him until the deadline with Chauncey. Of course I would throw him on a deal for a star though.

Got to get some consistent clutch shooters in that second unit. Ant is coming along, and Nas has potential, but we need a Seth Curry type.

Still got that taxpayer MLE to spend on someone. Maybe get one impact new player on the team before the CJ trade that turns us into a team Dame won't demand to be traded by.

im okay with simons & little, simons needs to become leading bench player and little deserves regular playing time and i think theres potential for a nice player in him, but im not sure what to think of zeller and djj, although djj deserves a benefit of the doubt cause he wasnt used the right way by stotts, but i absolutely dont like mclemore signing

nah the gaping hole in skillset is guys who can switch on defense and guard 3s/4s. we have enough small guards who chuck.

I'd be OK with any of these dudes for a wing defender spot:

    Oubre Jr. (lol ya right)
    Porter Jr
Iggy (break in case of emergency)
    Stanley Johnson

    If not them, then:

    Blake Griffin
    Millsap
    Khem Birch
    Taj Gibson

Anyone can shoot, but not everyone can make it. I don't see any consistent shooters on the bench right now as constructed. But i'm hopeful we acquire some.

DJJ cannot play. He played in a near perfect offense in Miami and he disappeared toward the end of the season. He had Bam freaking Adebayo throwing him oops. The problem with y’all thinking of, “oh just draw up some plays for DJ to cut through”. It is not that simple. DJ cannot shoot so teams know they can back off of him a little but not enough for him to make a back door cut. His defense is okay but not great.

Yeah, I agree with you. Too early to say that. If Neil does pull the trigger for a PF (Using CJ) and you start Little, you have RoCo and Jones coming off the bench. Then you have Simons with an extra year of experience and McLemore.

When Nurk/Collins was hurt we had no backup center, so barring an injury that could be improved with Zeller. The only missing piece will be Melo.
Would love to get Millsap to come off the bench at PF. Still need a starter.
