Odd move. If it's the BAE, they hardcap themselves. If it's the MMLE, they can't chase Shroeder or Jackson using the full MLE amount, which I think they should. But I guess they are pretty confident right now that Dame is asking out!
in all the chatter about other NBA front offices holding out to see if Dame demands a trade, has anybody considered that perhaps, one thing that is fueling that are things Olshey has said in discussions with other GM's? I know it seems kind of a remote possibility, but if Olshey knows he can't, or won't, meet Dame's demands for a contender, could he be pouring some of the blood in the trading-Dame water himself? trying to gin-up the market early?
Remember at the start of the off-season, Quick basically said there's no way CJ doesn't get traded? Over the past few months he's slowly backed off of that assertion. Now he thinks we aren't making any changes to the starting lineup. You don't think that is based on discussions he's having with people that work with the FO? Or other teams that have been in contact with our FO?
Come on man... you think Blevins counts in any way, shape, or form? McLemore and Snell fit the same basic function as Ant. A dude you stick in the corner to shoot threes. If we end up trading CJ/Ant/Little for Simmons, where does that put our rotation? Dame/Simmons Norm/McLemore/CJ Elleby RoCo/DJJ/Snell Simmons/Brown Nurk/Zeller
