you thought the coaching change would "calm the waters". People might actually want to see Billups coach for a while before being calm about his coaching. I hope he's an upgrade over Stotts, but I don't know. So, the only waters we are navigating now are those of roster construction. by the way River, how is your health these days?
I'm good...best lab numbers I've had in years...no heart issues...getting my energy back and able to do yard work, etc....will be 67 the day after tomorrow and I'm feeling the age....can't handle the heat like I used to and sort of gotten used to staying home more and more...will have another checkup in Sept but take my 3 heart pills a day and it's way more manageable than it was a few years ago...fingers crossed and thanks for asking
good to hear that. And nobody our age handles the heat like they used to. I still know my way around a cold beer though
Quit drinking alcohol years ago....just water tea or coffee now...I missed it for awhile but now I'm the families designated driver
Blazers picking up a lot of odds and ends. None appear to be top seven players. Could they be preparing a trade package?
Absolutely ZERO of our fucking trade targets have been traded. How the fuck if this is a joke of an off-season when we re-signed Norm on a great contract and got 3 good minimum signings? If this is all we do, then sure, I'd criticize the off-season too... But there's been NO player traded that we missed out on or should've traded for. There's been four good signings. We got great value on Norm. We're not done. Calling this a "joke of an off-season" is just some over-emotional bullshit that's not logically based.
Zeller is a way better option for a bench big than we've had....considering he's replacing Kanter and broken Collins...he's more of a two way player...we've shed some weak defenders off our bench..and we're not done yet..signing Norm to 5 years was the needle mover first off...he could've gone anywhere..that's a difference maker considering Trent isn't as good as him...and we've cleared room for Nas and Elleby and Ant to take the next step instead of sit behind Hoodie and Melo ....yeah..Chauncey hasn't even come close to putting this together but I'm seeing a better bench and part of that being 3 guys playing more minutes who are already on the roster..they might not crack the rotation but at least they'll get to compete for it without taking a backseat to a legacy
Re-signing one of your own players is not a difference maker. Even with Norman, the Blazers fell woefully short last year. They need players who can make them BETTER, not keep them treading water.
