There were people against adding Kawhi yesterday.

I have no idea how anyone could say that. But they did.

He was saying they were more talented. I disagree, so that was the conversation.

Here's the problem though: What might be an upgrade for one team isn't necessarily an upgrade for another. DeRozan made no sense for us. A poor defender who couldn't shoot 3s and needs the ball in his hands to be truly effective. We didn't need a guard so Lonzo Ball wasn't worthwhile. So far, I haven't seen one player that has signed that we could've gotten or a player that's been traded who we should've pursued that would've helped this team. In my opinion, Olshey has missed out on nothing yet. In the mean-time, he got Powell back on a great deal, and his minimum signings have been better than I could've hoped for.

I absolutely agree with "We need to make upgrades to put us in contention", I'm just not going to freak out when the off-season isn't done yet and he hasn't missed out anywhere at this point and has done a good job otherwise.

"I'm not seeing any moves that convinces him (Dame) or me or anyone else"
" I expect Damian to play with the Blazers, give chauncey a shot"
"I'm still hearing paul millsap/kelly oubre"
"so far nothing that moves the needle"

It’s impossible to get both right? Cause one would have to be a sign and trade and if you do that you can’t use the mle?
    Do I have that right?

Not sure who Damian thought they would be able to sign via free agency that would "move the needle". The only thing that can be done is trading away CJ, and if Dame is against that, Neil might as well pack the bags for him.

Man, how long has this team been trying to acquire Millsap now, like 15 years? It would be fitting if they finally got him when he was totally washed.

if he’s washed it isn’t showing up on paper. Graded out positively on both ends of the court this past season.

Oubre for the TPMLE and a second year player option would be nice if he cannot secure any money from anyone else. I think we could offer him a big role here.

I don't know if he's a needle mover, and his IQ is suspect, but clearly he raises the ceiling of this team more than Tony Snell, Cody Zeller and Ben McLemore ever could.
