Having a short contract for matching purposes in trades > not having one.

I'd take Milsap with some of the tpmle, if for nothing else than to have another tradeable contract.

I'm all for getting some more talent and tradable salary for the team but if we would have added Shcroder (another 6'3" guard) I probably would have lost it.

Schroeder getting less than Caruso in free agency was not what I had expected.

DJ + TPMLE + Ant can get you in the ball park of a 25 mil player in return. we better use it.

I’m hoping this wasn’t the signing to expect

So Schroeder signed for under 6M sometime after he turned down an 84M offer....is that correct? a 70M mistake...? holy ouch!

I wonder what the all-time bonehead contract move by a player is...? I know there have been some....just can't recall them

if you believe Quick, Meyers turned down a 60M offer to end up signing for 41M the following summer

speaking of bonehead moves...will any team ever sign Meyers Leonard again?

Noel Nerlens with Dallas is the only one close to the DS situation I can think of.

Victor Oladipo turned down a massive contract with Indy and just signed with Miami for the minimum. Actually he did it twice.

He turned down a $112 million deal from Indy and then he turned down a 2 year $45.2 million deal from Houston.

Week + into free agency. Almost two weeks after the draft. All of our rumored signings official.

Why has there been no press conference with Neil?

Nearly every other GM has given an interview or official media availability in some capacity. Giving a clear idea of the team's vision is crucial to ticket sales and season ticket renewals. This is part of Neil's job whether he realizes it or not.

    im not holding my breath.

with the way they handled Norm's re-signing (brooke doing a heavily doctored 1 on 1 where they referenced Neil a million times in third person), i think Olshey is just shirking responsibility because he gives shitty interviews.

I think they're trying to avoid any more questions that turn into memes so they're avoiding the media entirely, aka the water bottle/nose scratch pickoff play.
