    Sure, why not...

My thinking here is, if we can't get a guy better than CJ (Simmons/Siakam) in a trade, I want multiple players back in return for CJ instead: at least one above average starter (Harris/Hayward/Grant) and another guy (Ross/Nance/Bagley/Clarke/etc) that fills a need and adds to our depth. We have maybe 7 guys right now who would be in a playoff rotation. Adding players to that list would only help us.

We would also keep our pick for trades at the deadline to bolster that rotation y either adding a big or a PG as needed.

Plus they have a new GM who's prepared to try some shit and isn't trying to fleece the entire league (like some Moreys I could mention).

Absolutely. I'm not opposed to Nance, or the overall premise. I just like Clarke more, so if the deal you proposed is feasible, I'd just like to make it as good as reasonably possible. If the Raptors would be open to dealing Boucher for a first, I'd prefer him over any of the others.

    Not interested in Ross though.

I think you are right about Morey. Philly fans got it in their heads that he was getting them Dame. Anyone less than that is a major letdown.

I like Clarke a lot. He brings the intangibles. In my limited time watching him he always seems to end up with the loose ball.
I like him more at SF assuming he can improve his 3pt shooting. But can he?

Clarke and Nance are about the same height, but Nance is 245 with a 7'1" wing. We do need more size, but I hate missing out on Clarke if he is available.

Morey-on has backed himself in a corner with Simmons. The market is drying up for a trade involving his player. His fanbase wants nothing to do with the pouting Simmons. Embiid is trying to fake love for Simmons to make it work out, but Simmons ain't buying. Morey will have to come down from his desires on compensation to give his team the changes it needs. I'd love to see a 3 team deal that brings Green to Portland, but Tobias Harris would be an excellent addition as well. Great character guy as well. Simmons is obviously high maintenance.

Pelicans have done almost nothing with their guard problem unless they think swapping Lonzo with Graham moves the needle.
Now is the time i think to try pry away Ingram with CJ and a first maybe.
They have the same issue with us with their lineup being unbalanced so this actually makes both teams better i believe. The issue is Ingram is 6 years younger and an All Star so for sure we need to include a first or two.

They have Graham, Hart, and believe strongly in the youngster NAW (ready for that third-year jump). I don't think they think they have a shortage of guard talent, at least not a significant enough shortage to prompt them to part with Ingram.

I believe in NAW too and i also like Lewis, but they lost Lonzo (Bledsoe was terrible so no big deal). They were comfortably out of playoffs and made lateral moves at best + Zion is already bitching about not winning. Maybe not now, but around trade deadline i think they will be in trouble.

I wish we would aggressively pursue a wing. Been harping on this a while but something needs to give in ATL. They have Hunter/Heurter/Gallo/Reddish and now Jalen Thomas all fighting for minutes and $. I really want us to swoop in and grab one of these guys.

I honestly can’t believe we haven’t made a move, and that we are actually going to run back the same starting 5. It’s so crazy.

TLDR: 76ers don’t wanna trade Simmons because they want to be ready in case Dame asks for a trade but the belief is Dame won’t be asking for a trade anytime soon, and will at least start the season with Portland. But Simmons doesn’t wanna stay in philly and is gonna sabotage them if they don’t trade him ASAP hahahha (that last part is just my expectation)

They have 17 guys on guaranteed contracts. Don't think i've ever seen something like this.

Clearly, consolidation moves are on the horizon???

Think they have to wait a bit before trading Rondo in a multi-player trade but sure why not? I like Clarke.

Yeah, I like Clarke as well, think he could give us minutes at the 3/4 and 5. And what better mentor than Roco, to try to turn him into a similar style of player.

I knew that about Rondo, and the delay, but I wonder, the way deals have been agreed to and then amended this offseason, if they could just have this as a latched on part of the original deal? Maybe not.

Actually, I think for trades, each team gets to work the deal however it works for them, right? I think we could receive all 3 together, while Memphis could make it appear to be 2 separate deals, since they could match DJJ's salary just with Rondo. They can trade Rondo for DJJ, and then send the other 2. I might have that slightly off.

ya there can be workarounds. The recently traded aggregation rule is only a formality.
