Toronto lost and Oakland losing. Yankees giving us agita but are rolling. And if voit playing first that ball Rizzo stop goes thru and he had as much a chance of scooping that ball Rizzo did as Custer had at the little big horn!!

The bullpen scares me but this team fully healthy can be scary.

Hometown Homie Velazquez made one helluva statement last night!
One that may easily justify trading Torres, who has become expendable come t/Winter Meetings!

Velazquez needs to play every day, improve his batting average and continue fielding with a solid glove, which I have no doubt he can do in due time.

Voit's trying to save his face with his bat, but he's a butcher with a glove! Some might argue 'bout his defense, but in comparison with Rizzo, Luke can't hold a candle to Tony!
Only question remains, IF GT is traded, and Odor dumped, then there should be room on the roster for a backup 1st baseman and power hitting DH. But- the Team as is, is overladen with power hitters, and now infielders, IF everyone comes back and stays healthy.

A Healthy Yanx team has not been the case, not since Jeter screwed the Yanx with his bad gift of Stanton.

What I'd give to be t/Yanx GM through the Winter Meetings.

    Oh and btw-
Rizzo needs to be signed before the Season is over, but I don't see that happening either! I expect several teams will be bidding for him.

I wouldn't blink an eye over handing him a 5-year deal for $100 million.
If only he could be locked up with a deal such as that. However, I wouldn't be shocked if he asked for a 7-year deal. that may be a bit overextending, but I believe it to be highly unlikely.

Rizzo turned down a 5-year $70 million extension with the Cubs.
That five-year deal offer from the Cubs was a kick in the balls, very disrespectful. Especially for a guy that helped lead his team to a long overdue World Series victory
    2016 World Series:
    B'AVG-. .360
    OBP%-. .484 !!!!
    OPS- 1.084

It is rumored Rizzo is looking for a 5-year 100 million dollar deal. That's reasonable for a player like Rizzo.

There is some hope after all he is not a BorAss client.
Sports One Management is his agency.

Yeah, 5 years max...that would make him 37 at the end of the contract which ain't a big stretch for a 1Bman. He's an elite defensive 1Bman, very popular clubhouse guy, hits for a decent average, and has a swing tailor made for YS...resigning him is a no-brainer.
