that looks interesting. However, if CJ knocks Turner loose from Indy I'd like the Blazers to be the team that gets him

I've soured on Turner. He's quite injury prone and hasn't really improved much in his career. Plus the fit with him/Nurk would be tricky.

Barnes put up 16/7 last year and shot almost 40% from 3 and would be our mainstay SF.
Bagley put up 14/7 in less than 26 mpg last year and would add to our depth up front off the bench. I wasn't a fan of his earlier but his numbers are decent upon further review. Think he's often maligned for not being Luka/Trae.

While neither is the individual talent that CJ is, I think collectively they'd make us better and distribute our talent to positions of need.

look how much higher LEBRON grades CJ than the players coming back lol. At the same time, look at how similar it grades Simmons. Can those two idiots get that trade over with already

this is why i think dame going public screwed us a bit. if the prospect of Dame was not there, morey potentially would have considered a CJ-Ben swap. now he probably doesnt want to contribute to Dame staying on.

His loss. Can’t wait to see Simmons derail that whole franchise if (when?) he’s not traded.

Woj: Philly motivated to find a trade for Simmons before the season.

Seems like they’re struggling to find a team to line up
with. Morey has to realize he ain’t getting anyone better than CJ lol (and I’m not 100% convinced Portland would make that trade anyway)

Listening to the Jason Smith Show tonight while delivering, Rick Bucher was the a guest, and was asked how he felt about the Green/Durant Podcast stirring up heat with the Warriors GM & Steve Kerr. That maybe it could lead to a trade. And why would Draymond do this now, 3 years later. Bucher responded, well At the Olympics he built a nice friendship with one Damian Lillard, and maybe it's time to join him. We know that happened with LeBron & Wade. Pretty cool to hear a top notch basketball reporter mentioning that idea. I've been hoping for that to happen, and i'm pretty sure, Dame wouldn't mind that happening.

They can. To GS for CJ & picks, with Green going to Portland. Elementary my dear Morey-on.

Green is a shitty second option. He was a pretty good third option but really excelled as a fourth option. That's who we're talking about here. He's not big, he's not athletic, he just has some length and a really high basketball IQ on both ends.

Powell is a great third option.

Billups has been talking up Nurk. Maybe he can get the most out of him to be our 2nd option.

Green would give us such a different look. I'd give it a shot and see how things go. Especially if that is what Dame wants.

If we get Green instead of Simmons, we probably don't add much more to CJ. For Simmons we probably give up multiple picks.[/QUOTE]

we just saw what a curry + green duo can be in GS: A play in team that couldn't make the playoffs.

why would we build a team around dame + green thinking it would be better?
