I don't think we'd be getting a Seth level player back with Simmons and I'm fine with that.

I would do CJ and RoCo for Simmons and Tolliver in a heartbeat. We could then see how Simmons and Nurk play together and make a Nurk trade after that if necessary around the deadline.

 

No! Nance's injury history should preclude that.

 

Assuming the viability of a Dame/Powell/RoCo/Nance unit, who is the best center we could get for a CJ/Nurk package?

I think whoever it is it would need to be a three way trade because I can't think of any team that needs both. So if you could get pieces that make sense for Nurk... then CJ plus what you get for Nurk for Ben Simmons makes that lineup pretty damn lethal. The guy is 6'11", with a 7' wingspan and 250 lbs. I know he can do a lot of shit that has had him listed at PG a lot of his career but he is a legit big and he is a super athlete.

 

Maybe KAT, much better offensively, not as good defensively. KAT has the tools to be a better defender, but the question is - will have ever have the mindset. Offensively tho, he is world better than Nurk.

 

I don't see Minnesota wanting CJ so it would have to be a three way. We would probably have to give up picks too (which means we would have to get Cleveland to relax our FRP protections somewhere). I don't see Minny trading KAT for cheap.

I think we will be better than last season, we were overhyped with the additions from last year and under hyped this season. With that said what do we need? Backup PG? I doubt it ever happens, they seem determined to make Simons/CJ that guy.

 

I thought maybe Rondo would be a great addition.
