And your point is? I align with conservative viewpoints. You don't. Rah rah rah.

Sure, it was a requisite response.

    Quite the assumptions.

"OK", take BLM and The Woodson Center for instance. I've posted on many occasions in here regarding my support for the latter over the former. Yes, it's true, I have questioned BLM's leadership, while I've never questioned the Woodson Center's leadership in any way. It's also true that Robert Woodson, Carol M. Swain, Candace Owens, and many other have questioned BLM's strategies, intent, tactics, and otherwise...and that's their prerogative. For me, though, I just appreciated their strong conservative messages, overall. I support the Woodson Center because I appreciate the positive and productive work they're doing in the communities. They're not waving any flags, nor screaming in any megaphones. They're simply doing the things, and providing the recourses for, the many communities they're aligned with. That's what I like, and where my heart is.....the local communities. It's a big reason I'm involved with helping to feed the Nashville homeless. These are gratifying experiences. Anyway, I've been painted in here many times as a BLM hater, and the like, which I'm very much not.

Not sure what conservatives are for. RNC didn't bother with platform, saying whatever Trump wants. Not fiscal restraint, family values, personal responsibility, respect for law, strong alliances.
It really is just love Trump, hate gays, forced pregnancy, and now oppose Covid prevention.

I'm all for that. Show me a public servant - ANY public servant - who's for all of that and they'd have my support and vote!

I have a question: Would you support a law that allowed women to abort their babies within 60 days after birth as to account for situations such as birth defects, etc.?

Horseshit. You were a fanatical Trump supporter, and he was the opposite of all of that.

Why would you want to kill babies 60 days after they were born?

This will come as a shock to you, but women aren't stupid, nor masochistic. If a woman seeks abortion that late it is due either to medical emergency of the woman or severe, often fatal, defect of fetus. Woman haters pretend women get late abortion on a whim, due to little headache, or because fetus is just near sighted. Data exists showing that a lie, but I doubt you care. The point of anti choice laws is to make women suffer.

Yes, but think of the incredible power women would have if they had this option. It would be revolutionizing.

The twice impeached loser once asked what kind of monster gets a third trimester abortion. A woman wrote a piece in the New York Times explaining why she had done this monstrous thing. She and her husband were eagerly looking forward to the birth of their child. They chose a name, prepared a nursery. They were educated professionals with good insurance who did all the right things and had all the right tests. At seven months a test showed something that could not be detected earlier. The fetus' brain had all the correct components, but no neuronal connections. The child would have no brain function. As in zero. Zilch. A body with no brain. The child, if born, would never see, hear, speak, move, have no emotions, nothing. An empty shell. They reluctantly agreed their best option was to terminate the pregnancy.

The article generated quite a few responses. Most were sympathetic. A few insisted their god wanted her to carry to term (none volunteered to care for resulting child). The heartbreaking one was from a woman who said that test did not exist when she was pregnant. Her son was born with exactly this defect. She and her husband still share care although their marriage broke up. Neither remarried, had another child. They have no social life, take no vacations. In the morning they put him in a wheelchair. He sits all day slack faced and drooling. He is fed through a tube, breathes with a respirator, shits in a diaper. At night they put him to bed. Some people with profound mental disabilities still have enough awareness to have an emotional bond with their caregivers, he does not because he has no brain. A potted plant turns toward the sun. He is not even that responsive.

But the real gut punch, he is 47 years old. Which means the parents must be in their late 60s or older. Their whole lives spent caring for this body with no brain. What happens when they die?

Anyone who would force someone to carry such a pregnancy should be required to care for the resulting child. For 47 years and counting.

Thosecerainly are compelling, gut-wrenching stories and I can only sympathize. There are many other stories, such as my own, that aren't quite as dire. I would've been a great dad. Actually, I was/am to two wonderful step-daughters (and four grandchildren). No biological of my own, though.
