Yeah, I agree. I never liked him either. Probably has a little to do with his one year at UW. But like you said...maybe he has matured. I say bring in as many cheap contracts as you can who have "potential". Maybe you get lucky. Although I am a little surprised he is healthy already.
Before GS he was a mess because he thought very highly of himself. When he accepted he is a role player he was a really good role player. I think he can help.
There are a couple people on this forum who are so doom and gloom will not call them out by name but I swear they should go see if Blazers ( Hate ) Edge needs another writer so they can help spread the contempt and hate they seem to be good at doing lately. I mean the last 2 moves are solid low risk / high reward type moves but some are so waist deep in NeO hate that unless he brought Kobe back from the dead and put him on the team they have very little positive to say about the Blazers. All i have to say to these type of fans and anyone who agrees with the BS Blazers Edge writes then maybe it's time you decide IF you really want to be a Blazers fan or not cause this constant negativity is getting F'ing old and that is why sometimes I go off and tend to be a complete A-Hole to people cause this type of attitude pisses me off. I am not saying this team is perfect or Neo is perfect but if as a fan all you can do is bitch and moan maybe it's time you look at WHY your a fan of this team and decide IF maybe it's time to move on. --- just my 2 cents I know this might not be a popular opinion but the truth is the truth and for better of worse I say things how I see them even if I am a blunt A-hole about it at times. Also this is a general rant not aimed at this topic but more this forum in general -- Go Blazers
Happy with this pickup hopefully he makes the roster. Warrior fans seem to really like him. Way more excited form this pickup over the snell or mclemore ones. McLemore McLemore
To me this is solid. This guy has a chance of breaking the rotation if he is healthy and accepts the role.
Yes, in his last full year in GS, he did pretty well. Shot .584 from the two, per 36 had over 11 rebounds, 3.4 assists, over one steal, and almost two blocks.
you guys do know that not every comment here should be taken literally....right? This isn't a no-wisecrack zone
It’s gonna be a good battle between him and smith. Barring injury (LOL) idk which one has better odds of making the team. Smith seems to have more upside but Chriss was very solid for the warriors two seasons ago. His Ws/48 and VORP would’ve placed him in Portland’s top 5. His per/36 numbers 16.5 ppg 11.0 rpg 1.9 bpg 3.4 apg 1.2 spg 3.7 fpg .604% TS 77% FT He can also switch comfortably onto the perimeter. I think he’s actually more of a four than a five as I don’t see him as a great rim protector. If he’s made any improvements with his jumper, he’s gonna make a real impact. He still might regardless.
