I can understand why you asked that. You're obviously the wife in your relationship. Your partner has the career, the assets, you seem to do most of the cooking. If roles in relationships have to be labeled then yours is one of the easiest to define.
It’s not WHAT you ask, it’s HOW you ask it. But then, you knew that. And not even a legitimate attempt to look dumb….so now you do the part where you do the Urkel thing and ask, “Did I do that?”………..talk about doubling down…..
Why does it even need to be asked…..or an answer expected? It’s her business. It’s like me asking you (or your wife), who’s on top when you have sex. The answer is……………………………”it’s none of my business”.
Is it that freakin' sensitive of a subject?!? As far as I know, the current law states someone has to be listed as the husband and a wife. Pete was listed as the wife. It's not unreasonable to be curious.
Was he wrong? I think it was pretty accurate. The fact someone gets upset over being pointed out how ridiculous gender roles are is pretty telling.
Bullshit. Marriage does not have to declare husband and wife. There may be some same sex couples who refer to themselves that way, our community is very diverse, but I don't know any and I am certain I know a lot more gay folks than ABM, who probably knows zero. Not only us it no one's business, it implies lesbians aren't actually women, just imitation men. Or we can't "get" a man so settle for artificial man. I don't know how many men have asked me why don't you like men. Because they, specifically their penises, are center of the universe. Corollary is their penis will make us straight. What they don't get is they are irrelevant. Lesbians are women whose sole or primary emotional and physical attraction is to women. Nothing to do with men. Repeat, they are irrelevant to our orientation.
K, I answered my own question. However, the article did remark that the question was a "popular" one. https://www.dfwfederalclub.org/news/2014/6/9/a-lesson-in-lgbt-etiquette So, in this article, Chasten Buttigieg is listed as the husband. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/pet...troduce-babies-family-photo/story?id=79832236 My assumption was the Pete would naturally be the wife. However, based upon the previous article, it appears that they could both be husbands. I had read awhile back about a gay couple back in the day listing themselves as husband and wife. That verbiage could have all changed since then, though. I did search for that article but didn't find it.
Haha you quoted an article from 2014. From briefly looking at the website it doesn't look like anything you would spend much time on. There can be two husbands. Who cares what they call themselves? Not really something I would ask someone.
