These days a lot of people reproduce without heterosexual intercourse. And I am still waiting to hear who or what "meant" us to be straight and if any straight person is going to seek my permission to marry. Just barely polite homophobia.
I literally cannot think of a single reason why anyone would ever, ever be against marriage of two gay people. Like it makes absolutely zero sense, there is no downside to it. It’s hatred and homophobic and one of the most pathetic opinions a person can have. It’s disgusting.

I've had friends who got married (at least 2 off the top of my head) that really shouldn't have gotten married to their current (or in one case, former) spouse. One left her husband for her current boyfriend, got knocked up by a new guy and they live together (but aren't getting married). The other left her previous husband after trying to salvage their marriage by getting pregnant, it failed and she's now with her current husband. I have neighbors that are gay and married. I have two different 2nd cousins (actually, they are sisters) who are gay and married (not to each other of course). I have another 2nd cousin is who is lesbian, and is in a relationship (at least, the last I heard, she doesn't live in the US and we don't communicate much). Never once did anyone ask me my opinion of their marriages/relationships, nor did I once ever think my opinion of their marriages/relationships mattered enough to express it (further than what I'm doing right here). Not only that, it never donned on me that my feelings about their marriages mattered at all to have any kind of emotional response to it, because it doesn't involve me. Never understood why anyone else cares what other people do. It has zero impact on your life.
From a purely evolutionary and reproductive viewpoint (ignoring the "nurture" half of the nature vs. nurture argument), since that's what you're focusing on, you're failing to account for the reason that homosexuality and bisexuality exist at all. If there were zero evolutionary benefit it wouldn't occur, or at the very most be a very rare phenomenon. Instead homosexuality has been observed in over 1,500 species so far with bisexuality even more widespread across the species. From birds to insects to reptiles to mammals. If it's as simple as you imply above, why is this? I disagree. We live in America. We get to chime in on most everything. We have a right to have our own beliefs. We also get to vote for representatives. We also get to vote on issues.
Did you ask me to approve your marriage? Do I get to vote on whether straights should be allowed to marry?
Again, it being legal does not make it moral. Nor moral to support it. It used to be legal to prevent certain types of people from eating at a restaurant. It used to be legal to own slaves and treat them however you wanted. It was never moral. and the people who supported or voted to keep those laws were not moral. They were supporting acts of evil. Evil, like forcing a woman to go through 9 months of pain, discomfort, and general torture against her will. Or evil, like preventing a loving couple from enjoying the same rights as every other couple because of who they love. These are evil and hurtful stances. The opposite of morality. Which provide no benefit to society.
I believe the Bible is incredibly moral. To my knowledge, it only speaks of marriage as being a covenant between a husband and a wife - male and female.
You mean when all the inhabitants of defeated city were slaughtered except virgin girls who were taken as sex slaves? Or the defense of slavery? Or telling rape victims they must marry the rapist? And didn't Jesus speak against marriage? And what has that to do with 1) Texas bounty hunter law or 2) a country that explicitly bans state religion? Is this two straight men trying to make the discussion about them because women, who cares?
Look, I'm not going to foist my beliefs on you, not anyone else. I still have every right to believe what I believe, despite the spin cycle you seem to be engaged in.
You do understand that voting for politicians that agree with your limited interpretation of the bible because you hope they make laws that supporting your views IS "foisting" your beliefs on people, right?
