They are cutting down the Brazilian rain forest to raise cattle for Burger king and the rest of them. One Burger Kind double cheese represents 1/2 acre of the BRF. I heard a guy on the radio a couple years state that as fact, he was part of Sierra club.

Do you think that people are actually recycling the old car batteries of first gen electric cars. It's a great idea, like aren't the supposed to reuse computer monitors and HDTVs.

That's like saying the NBA should play a game in a local LA Fitness. Lots of people go out to NASCAR races and the facilities have to be good enough to host. That's why they're going to PIR.

The batteries are almost completely recyclable, and they are becoming more recyclable by the year.

Nearly all car batteries are recycled. Car batteries are among the most successfully recycled products in the world.

If you buy a car battery you are almost certainly buying a battery which has been reconditioned multiple times.

Btw, unless you have lots of long distance drives, electric cars are awesome, especially if you have a place for a level 2 charger. You never have to go to a gas station, if you need, you can start each day with a full tank, no noise, super quick, minimal maintenance - no oil changes etc....

...and with the federal and state refunds, affordable. We started in 2015 with an 82 miles range e-golf, current Kona electric has 270 miles range, over 200bhp and since electric motors make all the power immediately, in town it feels like a 400bhp car, it is stupid quick.

My nephew is racing in the 2021 SCCA National Runoffs at 7:20 am today. He qualified 6th out of 30 cars in his first ever National Runoff race! The event is being held at the famed Indy track but uses a road course instead of the oval. This event is the top drivers from each class in the U.S. meeting for the championship.

He races a first generation Mazda RX7 in the E production class.

The race is being televised at scca.com/live @7:20 am.

Here is a lap from qualifying.

    Good Luck Austin!!

I understand. But you can recycle things all you want right? How LONG are those old batteries laying in the dirt decomposing? That can't be good for the environment either.

There are no old batteries laying in dirt that couldn't have been recycled. If you do find one, I guarantee somebody, somewhere is willing to buy it from you.

    Same with motors and wires.
