Were any of those based on true story and not urban legend? Don't believe in supernatural. So a scary movie for me is more like Silence of the Lambs.
Exactly. When I was very young I was afraid of dark closets. As I grew older I thought this was stupid so I walked right into dark places without turning a light switch on just to test myself. Guess what happened, not a thing. Now, my wife gets jittery whenever the house makes a noise so I get up to check it out and 100% of the time I find nothing. When I see a scary movie like a good monster movie or an excellent science fiction I get so scared that I have to peek between the fingers of a hand held over my face. When I see a supernatural movie I chuckle and say to myself why am I watching such a stupid movie. There's no movie yet that has ever scared my wife yet let there be one creak in the house and she's scared to death yet I am not. Odd, huh?

I'm going to watch the Alien series for the weekend. Maybe watch Hannibal Rising for my Gong Li fix to cap it off.
I'd like to see Forbidden Planet offered as well as the Alien series and Scream and Scream Again, the original King Kong, the original Night of the Living Dead, the lost copy of Dawn of the Dead (not the newer version), Kronos, a giant robot from another world that grew when fed energy, which I saw in 1957, the original Jurassic Park, The Omega Man, War of the Worlds (the newer one with Tom Cruise made in 2005, the original Thing From Another Planet, the original Blob with Steve McQueen. I'll probably think of 50 more after I post this.
Finally got a chance to watch Halloween Kills this weekend and was mildly surprised. Maybe my expectations had been lowered by less than ideal reviews from friends but I thought it was a fun gore fest (by Halloween standards) with some fun kills and a story that was kind of running in place. You knew nothing major was going to be resolved since it's the middle installment. Overall for a slasher flick I'd give it 7.5/10 and probably sits around 5th or 6th in my rankings for the franchise.
