I missed this one. But just saw it, so I'll reply. When did I imply anything of the sort? Black people have been an exploitable population since before the country's inception. Of course they've been exploited. And they were the first, so there are larger numbers and the division is more entrenched, hence there has been more exploitation. This is obvious and I acknowledge that. But that's the point. This system was founded on and encourages the elite to exploit populations as much as possible, and survives by playing those populations against one another. If you think that is limited to one population and continue attacking another then you are also a part of the problem. It includes (to varying degrees) every minority and disadvantaged population. Division is what allows the system to propagate. I'm advocating for virtually the same changes you are, yet you keep attacking me as though I'm opposed to you. This is the definition of counterproductive.
Sure, other populations have had their problems here in the good old USA but none have had it nearly as bad as the Blacks. In every list of people other people would want as a neighbor Blacks are at the bottom of the list. This won't change over night but by God, it has to change. Who can bear such a position on such a list and not be affected in a bad way? I say give them some latitude or at least recognize the no. 1 problem we have in this country, race relations. If you've ever been discriminated against for some reason then you should be able to have some inkling of what it's like to be a full time Black. Try to put yourself in their shoes. This is why I, along with several of my neighbors in Lake Oswego, have had Black Lives Matter prominently displayed in our front yards. I've had two but one was broken in a wind storm and the other was broken when a tree limb fell on it during an ice storm. God dammit, I'd get a third if I knew where to get it. I'd go to rallies if I could walk and so I content myself with places like this and how I vote.
Yeah, I completely agree with all of this. I do go to rallies on occasion. I will also vote for people who support changes which will end this and prevent it from happening to anybody in the future. I'll also let somebody I see hurting that cause know that I think they are hurting that cause. And if they are aggressive and/or dismissive to me I might be aggressive and/or dismissive back.

Drugs are the root of most crimes committed and as a Nation (all of us) we've done absolutely zip to to contain them coming into the country and/or treat addicts to the point of them wanting to help themselves. You think its been bad, well, with a border out of control its going to get a lot worse.
