They did the same damn thing with Comcast too. The team has shown time and time again that they don't give a shit about fans' ability to watch the team.

Its the way of subcontracted business. No liability or responsibility.

    Its complete bullshit.

when companies don't own up to a made decision and just say “we made a decision and the ball is now in their court,” it simply wont go over well with the consumers.
Comcast has a ton of hate because of this.

    - The team says it's Root's fault but did the deal with them anyway.

    - Root says it's the streaming companies' problem (seriously they have been tweeting this same thing the past week-- it's really embarassing).

    - The streaming companies say Root is charging too much.

Who gets screwed? All of us.

“HCP goes on strike for the fans!!!”

That will quickly become the longest thread in S2 history!

Hopefully it does and we can all sing their praises once a reasonably priced solution is available.

There was some detailed posts about a month ago that showed since Paul Allen bought the Blazers the returns haven't exceeded average returns of the stock market. Yes that seemed unbelievable to me seeing 70 million go to 2 billlion. But owning the Blazers has been a rather average investment. Compound interest is crazy.

That was only looking at holding value changes. Factoring in those $100million loss years Paul Allen was eating and the investment looks even worse. I'm sure Paul made money from affiliated businesses and profits in more recent seasons, still I'd expect cumulative losses have exceeded the profits.

So no, the Blazers haven't been a "ridiculous profit" investment.

This was a straight cash grab by the Blazers as they learned nothing from the Comcast deal. It's fine that they took the money and ran from the problem, some see getting the largest pile of cash as a smart business move, others see it as foolish and not thinking long term. Neither is right, neither is wrong and only time will bare out which is the correct answer.

I keep reading on here "my family can't watch games" or "I haven't been able to watch a game in XX years" .... unless you're living in a place that didn't have Comcast, then you CHOSE not to watch games. Yes you might have hated Comcast with the passion of a million suns, but you still have a choice in watching them or not, just like you still do. I feel for the people that couldn't get Comcast and now Fubo even if they wanted to.
