Neither of us know which reports are true, false or somewhere in between. But I was very concerned with the reports of Dame about to ask out, just like I’m concerned about these Simmons reports. From all ensuing reports and from Dames own mouth, it would seem that Dame was likely considering asking out.

We have seen, and continue to see, signs that Simmons is willing to be extremely disruptive to suit his personal goals. Dame is doing everything he can as the season kicks off to put his rumblings aside for the year. Simmons, not so much.

So much this. Let Billups and Dame get ahold of him. You know he's not going to be a black hole like CJ and will be a lights out defender even before improvements. Of course he won't score like CJ....but as been pointed out over and over, Simmons playoff ratings are better than CJ....almost across the board in terms of total efficiency and impact.

It's amazing how every story critical of Simmons is just automatically written off.

The way the Blazers are playing tonight there's no point to a CJ Simmons trade as we still ain't winning shit even if Simmons is an all star DPOY.

I'm all for seeing what this team looks like after 20 games.

Hell, maybe Terry got more out of this roster than any coach could and we're better off trading everyone for picks. Simmons is too old for a long rebuild.

it does sound like he’s a baby and prima Donna…..but many NBA players today are!

Sure some are, but I’m surprised there aren’t more considering that most of them grew up being far & away the best on their teams.

I think about the Blazers, I don’t think there’s anyone approaching baby/prima donna status. That makes me happy, win or lose, I can’t root for a douchebag.

Im not saying Simmons is a douchebag. But since high school his antics bring douchebaggery into conversation.

I think back over the years and my favorite Blazers have been linked to personality, Lillard, Cliff Robinson, TerryPorter, Joel Przybilla and Brian Grant to name a few. The ones I never liked were Damon Stoudamire, Isaiah Rider.

The current Blazers, I happily root for every one of them. I’ve never met most of them, they could be terrible people putting on a show, butI just don’t see that. This Blazers team seems to be good together. I don’t trust that Simmons wouldn’t destroy the good.

I don't think Morey wants a CJ/Roco type trade. He will hold out until the deadline if needed to get an all-star. Whether he is successful is another matter.

At this point, with how Roco is playing, and Little and Simons are playing, I'd be happy with CJ and Roco for Simmons (my preference for him changes on a daily basis though).

At this point, with the way Dame, CJ and Roco are playing, I'd be satisfied with Dame and Rocco for Simmons (and I'd toss in a few first-round draft picks, since it'll be hard for Philadelphia to fit someone who can't shoot--like Lillard--into their offense).

Of course, my preferences change daily as well.

Snide comment aside, Roco hasn't exactly earned the benefit of the doubt to the degree Damian has. And truthfully, CJ and Damian has a backcourt has limitations. But yeah, what you said is exactly the same as what I said.

Dude, everything is not an attack on you. I was making a joke about Lillard, not sarcastically criticizing your post.

I think if that was the case, it would've probably been better to leave out the "my preference changes daily" part.

That part was to make it clear it was a joke, before 10 people replied to my post with "lol ridiculous, stop hating."
