I kind of wish the team had a bench player who could just go nuts and take over the games. Simons it the closest, maybe, but he's still scoring as part of the system. Like, I don't know if he could be THE cog in a comeback against a team.

You're right - it appears to be fake news. Huh. I guess you can't believe everything you read on Reddit - who knew?

Not exactly an endorsement of Chauncey's coaching here.

    You just invented Blazer-themed koans!

If a Drexler dunks in an empty gym, is it two points?

Not sure how you got anything to do with Chauncey's coaching here out of that statement.

Just wondering what the Blazer fans who have come on here trashing other teams think of our Blazers. Put’s in in context is all. Not sure where this came from, shit, there are 20 teams that suck right now. Just wondering about the levels. If they are “trash”, what are we?

That’s the role I though Melo had with us from time to time. That’s why I said he would be missed. You could plan on him getting to the line in a tight game no matter what.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
You just seem unable to discuss the Lakers without bringing up the Blazers. That's what this came from!

The Blazers are pretty bad too. Is that sufficient for you to discuss the Lakers without constantly trying to turn the discussion to the Blazers?

I think more than ever this preseason and early season, guys on here are just TEARING into the Lakers….yet being SO patient with our roster. Talking about it’s early, give it time, let them build chemistry. That’s all, I like consistency when I’m reading peoples critiques is all. You’ve seen me say I’m giving the Blazers 30 games before I really judge, said the exact same thing about the Lakers when they won 3 in a row last week.

you might not want to focus on 'tight-game' Melo because he was horrible in clutch-time last season:

I'll give the Lakers and Blazers as many games as they want. But I identified serious roster flaws (different ones in each case) in both teams prior to the season starting. So sure, it's a small sample size, but it's lining up roughly the way I expected. Maybe one or both will surprise me over the long term of this season.
