The good news for Olshey is that any investigative firm the Blazers have hired has never found shit.

this was shams' article in its entirety.

the only reason it was posted was because he wanted to "be first." Haynes at least had SOME nuggets. this piece was quite useless. newsworthy for shockvalue alone and nothing else. if anything, it's clickbait. this is what qualifies as journalism these days.

It wasn't a good report, but he still told people the truth. For me nothing wrong with that. Maybe he didn't have the best source for it so he learnt as much.
Haynes did a better job, but Shams did nothing wrong. You should have been pissed if it wasn't true. Then it would be clickbait.

Saying it was useless is plain wrong. We did learn something.

playoffs in 8 of 9 seasons, with a near 100% hit rate on second round picks?

i couldn't care less if he leaves because i want someone who takes more risks, but his resume isn't really as bad as people make it out to be. his most egregious mistake i've long maintained is the 17 draft. outside of that, and general sleaziness in press conferences, i haven't found any glaring mis-steps along the way.

"At least one Portland employee has reported potential misconduct..."

this is a pathetic excuse for journalism.

I don't think even Olshey's brother (if he has any) would be that pissed. Like it or not Shams told the truth.

With the GM I just think a local guy knows what he's getting here. Who'll be comfortable and not just be here to collect a paycheck.

    At least, that's the hope.

Mainly I'd just want somebody good. If it's also a somebody local I think that's a plus. But, for sure, you don't just take a guy because he's local.

Not trading Aldridge was the big one for me. And he never recovered from that.

He needed a haymaker to make up for it and he just played it safe like he was trying to keep his job as long as possible.

Please oust Olshey. It does not even matter what Dame thinks. If the organization gets the right guy involved Dame will be just fine.

This fucking egomaniac has kept us on the treadmill for 10 years.
