Which moves did he make that made us competitive?

We have never been a legit threat to a title while Olshey has been here.

He already had Aldridge, Wes and Batum when he inherited the team. He traded for Lopez which was fine. He may or may not have been very involved in taking Dame. That was the catalyst for all of his success. Taking Dame. And CJ. He bungled the Aldridge situation. He traded Batum for garbage. He traded for Afflalo which ended up being a shit trade ( I was a fan of it when it happened). He signed Turner to a shit deal. He traded up to grab Zach Collins. He resigned Meyers and Crabbe to shit deals. He has refused to trade CJ and split up our undersized back court.

He operates around the margins and whiffs when it really matters. You can't do that on a small market team. Gotta take risks or stockpile assets. Nobody that will change this team will sign as a free agent. Mediocrity should not be applauded in the NBA.

How long will this investigation take?
Seems to me it shouldn't take long at all to determine if there are grounds to make a change.
I wouldn't think JA wants this to linger.

I think it's probably already close to over since it's been leaked.

I seriously can't believe people are STILL defending Olshey.

Another Lillard prime year flushed down the toilet.

yeah...they just need to have proof of misconduct to save a few million from buying him out. Probably already have it. It will be handled in house. My guess is he quits and forfeits the pay to save his own face if that's possible or they offer him a lowball buyout to not expose their reason and they just part way with a handshake deal.

I really kind of hope Stotts, Wheels and the Mike's throw him under the bus.

You are right about the New York person as I used to work with distributors from NY. I worked with all regions around the US & Canada and the NY/NE region was very different in terms of diplomacy and they did not handle business scrutiny at all.
When I would worked a National Equipment Show in Chicago you could hear the New York delegation heading your way, and it wouldn't matter if you were in the middle of a meeting, they would jump right in with what was on their minds. I actually thught its was refreshing as compared to some of the Ivy league back stabbing executives I dealt with that looked right through you. I view Neil more that way.

How would he be able to do that? The team isn't owned and run solely by Neil. Jodi would have to approve, and if she's canning him, it's unlikely she'd be like "oh hey, did he just trade Damian for a slew of 2nd round picks from OKC? sounds good to me! Herp de derp!"

    .
Im not a huge fan of the guy but the team that made it to the west finals was his entire creation. I was making the point that fans seem to think he has done nothing at all but make mistakes, we had not won a playoff series in like 10 years before that Houston one

I would take the hopes and dreams of Roy, Aldridge, Rudy, Batum, Oden over what Neil has "created." We had no chance against the Warriors, who swept us, without Kevin Durant. Yay we made the WCF. But we never have come close to being a contender. Everyone knew the Warriors were gonna win the West. The last time we really felt like possibly a contender was the year Wes got hurt.

Our team is a 2nd round team at absolute best this year. We are a treadmill team. Time for a change.
