The buck stops with the President of the Organization. He was the guy who had the power to fire Olshey. Bad decision making and a well known toxic work environment, yet he did nothing about it for years and years, meanwhile tossing guys like Mike and Mike to the side like trash. Corporate stooge.
@illmatic99 maybe McGowan was following all those head hunter companies on twitter because he's submitting his resume
lol makes sense now. He said in his official release that he's been thinking of this since the summer. And Quick just tweeted saying he's on the last year of his deal.
for sure I want Olshey fired....asap but this is definitely a popcorn day, however it goes. If the Blazers finish the day off by losing to Houston...my gawd
Honestly this great news now that I think about it as you all know I want to rebuild and this could start a fresh start all the way to the top. Now Neil next. Get a new Gm and go from there. This shit isn’t working
I agree with this take. McGowan has not and possibly didn't want to fire Olshey. I wonder if that is why he is gone. Didn't want to be part of rebuilding the team and front office. Yes the team needs some major changes. That and i also feel the Root sports thing might have something to do with this.
If he doesn’t get fired it probably means they didn’t find enough non basketball stuff worth getting fired over. Seems unlikely though. Either no action or fire him. He better not get off with a slap on the wrist ie anger management courses
