That dunk by Nas was Sheed-like

agree, I remember Kersey growing into his role and he too was very explosive and energetic. Clyde and Terry would look for him on the break because he was tough to stop with a head of steam, much like Naz.
Naz I believe is shorter than Kersey was.

Nurk is a bit of a baby. He thinks he could be Jokic? He should keep that shit to himself.

I wish Nurk would play strong and demand the ball with his back to the basket and just do beast mode close in. Sure he can pass the ball the o can run through him at times but he should establish himself down low. Seems when he faces the hoop and puts the ball on the floor he struggles. Feed the Beast!

First off i know two shot attempts ended up being charges. So maybe that has quite a bit to do with it?
Also Nurk got to the line 10 times so he took more shot attempts than 3.
If you would like me to post a link to the box i will?
You can also check the play by play and watch the game again. Nurk got no less than 8 attempts. When a player is called for a charge he does not get credit for the attempt. When a player gets fouled he also doesn't get the attempt unless he makes the shot.

Next you will see he was off the court after the first 4 minutes of the game because he got 2 very quick fouls at the 8:19 mark and the 8:08 mark. Nurk usually plays most of the first quarter.

He's put up decent numbers but he is anything but a Beast. Nurk is Soft as Charmin.

nurk can have this role on any team in the league, it cant get worse than this, can it

he has nothing to lose by joining/getting traded to another team, it can only get better

Tony Snell got us this victory. I expect him to play more as the season goes along, getting all of Zeller's minutes eventually

I doubt Jerome had a 7'2 wingspan. Jerome played at 215. Nas is already 220.
I loved Jerome, but Nas already has better handles and a better outside shot.
Nas has more potential, whether he reaches that I don't know.

Sheed is by far my fav player. The look Nas gave his guy after dunk have some hope he can bully teams. That would be awesome. Who, if not Billlups can gently push him there.
We got bright spot to hook the hopes on.

Nas is a junk yard dog. He's like Savoir Faire. He's everywhere! Not sure he's got the skill set to be a goto guy and a star, but any championship caliber team needs a guy like Nas.

I think he's way more skilled than the typical "junkyard dog." He's the only other guy besides LeBron James to win MVP of the Jordan Classic and the McDonald's All-American games for a reason.

Would you couple him & CJ for Simmons? Not sure I would?

I think his "status" will depend a lot on how well he can develop his handle. It doesn't have to be point guard level but if he can pause a second to size up the defense he will be tough to stop.

    :cheers"

No. The idea of Simmons and Little as my starting forwards makes me giddy. I would give CJ, Roco and picks though.

I would love to trade CJ + for Simmons. Despite Simmons' well documented negatives, aka his attitude, the Blazers would IMO be a much better team.

However, Savoir Faire would be WAY down the list of players I would want to give up in any trade.

Also, on the outside chance the Blazers need a significant retool, sans Dame, in the next couple of years, I think we have to look at Nas and Simons and probably Powell as cornerstones to that.
