LOL. I usually agree with most of the stuff you post in the OT forums.... I'm just not the type that's willing to bang my head against the wall on everything. :beatinto:

I have better things to do with my time.

We are all special snowflakes, every one. I apologize for introducing this tyrannical, albeit voluntary, quiz. I now see that it's exactly the same as Nazis forcing Jews to wear a yellow star.

    I'm a special snowflake who's apparently...

    Outsider Left
… along with 10% of the public

Outsider Left are the youngest typology group. They hold liberal views on most issues, particularly on issues of racial equality and immigration. They are more skeptical of government performance than other Democratic-oriented groups, though far less so than those in GOP-oriented groups. While they aren’t particularly happy with the Democratic Party, they also have deeply negative views of the GOP. Though nearly half of Outsider Left describe their own political views as liberal, only about three-in-ten identify as Democrats; about half say they are independents who lean toward the Democratic Party.

This poll is deceiving i think it thought I'm hard on races because i said it doesn't really bother me if neighbors don't speak english. But i didn't vote the last option because id like to communicate with my neighbors. No option to learn a different language or anything.
    Meh…

    im a snowflake.

16 questions are not enough to gage someones political leanings.

But more isn't necessarily better because then it's too hard to get people to sit still for the quiz.

My Spanish has improved from hearing neighbors' conversation.

I took four years of Spanish in college. So, I can speak it somewhat well, and understand it well too.

I had Spanish for a couple years in HS... Sophomore year some girls who liked to wear mini skirts to school sat across from me (desks configured in semicircle). I didn't learn a thing in that class... Can't even remember a single lesson.

*Edit* And who wears a mini skirt in Oregon in winter? They knew what they were doing...

I took two years of Spanish in HS where my Oline coach was the teacher. I earned much more of my B in both classes on the field than I did in the classroom. Now I'm living on the US/Mexico border and regretting not learning more! I can read it just fine and can understand most of what is being said in conversation but can't speak it well to save my life. I will say that the people here speak a mixture of both, using whatever word in either Spanish or English is easier and that throws me off quite a bit.

Ive noticed with my toddler grandson its taking him a bit longer to speak as he's learning both Vietnamese and english at the same time. I guess this is not unusual.
