LeBron James and Anthony Davis played 50 and 49 minutes respectively last night in order to chase a W...but they picked up the L. Anti-load-management. Good thing they're both extremely durable and the most important games are being played right now.
...they are with a worse record than the Blazers. Believe me, the Lakers fan version of AldoTrapani is out of his mind with despair over how quickly they've fallen into mediocrity and saying, "Look at the Blazers--they may be mediocre but at least they have some young talent in Little and Simons. Wish we had young talent like that. Sucks being a Lakers fan. lol please don't talk about championships in the past---that's over."
So true. Btw- if you read Lakersground during the off-season, the smart Lakers fans knew this was going to happen. It was one of the worst off seasons for a team in decades. What was Pelinka thinking? To think they won a championship just 13 months ago. And now they’ve screwed it all up. Unbelievable.
Again they won a championship less than 2 years ago but our garbage franchise is trying to make fun of them. We have our own problems
Laker fans have the same issues as we’ve had during the entire mediocre Olshey tenure: “Why the hell do we have so many small guards and no wings?”
10 more games and we’ll be at 30 games. Are we going to say the Lakers won a Championship 2 years ago when the Blazers are 5 games ahead of them in the standings and beginning to put things together? Very good chance the Blazers win 7-8 of the next 10 and the Lakers struggle to win 4 of their next 10.
It's hard to know the process. There were reports that Pelinka wanted to trade Harrell, Kuzma and a pick for Buddy Hield, but LeBron James wanted his buddy Westbrook, so they pivoted. It's impossible to know if that's true or not, and how much power James actually wields in LA. But if it is true, it sounds like Pelinka wanted to make a very sensible move and James got his way on a disastrous move so he could play with a friend again. Caruso / Nunn Caldwell-Pope / Hield James / Horton-Tucker / Ariza Davis /Anthony Whomever Their centers would still be a tire fire (aside from when Davis did the smart thing and slid to center), but the rest of that roster would be in a much stronger position. They could actually play good defense and shoot the ball.
