He's the best shooter in the history of the game. That being said he's been in the league three seasons longer than Dame and he's only played 79 more games. So yeah Steph slumps and when he does he can do absolutely nothing for his team because his slumps are serious injuries. The guy is an all time great and in his system he is a more valuable player than Dame is in ours but he's also frail... that's the only thing bad about Steph in that system.

Now if Steph was in a lot of other systems teams would use any player on their roster that they wanted, isolate Steph and post his ass up every fucking play because even though he's in his thirties his body still looks like it's waiting for his balls to drop. That being said, the Warriors coaching staff figured that out a long time ago and Steph gets ample help if teams try to do that which frees him up to float in passing lanes and gamble on steals when covering his man, which makes him look like a much better defender than he is.

Bottom line is that the best ability is availability and Steph definitely hasn't been as dependable to lace em up as he has been to shoot the ball when he can.

There’s no comparison between Curry and Lillard. There just isn’t. Maybe you can use stats but when it comes down to all time greats, Curry is a top 2 PG ever. I don’t think many would have Damian close to that. Basketball loves titles to value players as well. Curry is the best shooter ever and it’s not close. He transcended the game. Literally changed the game, not just the NBA but kids today play differently due to Curry.

That really isn't true, and if you watched Warriors games with a modicum of objectivity, you'd know that Curry spends very little time "floating" or gambling for steals. He's one of the hardest working defenders on their team, he's hyper aware and smart--basically, he's all the things that Lillard and McCollum aren't on defense. He doesn't have Lillard's explosive athleticism nor does he have great size--if he had those, he'd be one of the best defenders in basketball. As it is, he plays with great technique, smarts and effort--that's why he's not a liability in their system. Yes, obviously it's a benefit that he has great and smart defenders to help, but he's also part of that communication and awareness. A big reason why he doesn't get "his ass posted every fucking play" is because he and the rest of the defense see it coming and often pre-switch before the screen hits, so that the screen action ends up creating exactly the defensive assignments Golden State wants. Portland couldn't do this because neither Lillard nor McCollum have the awareness or instincts to see it coming, communicate automatically with teammates and execute it with the right timing.

Your posts about Curry invariably sound like a previous generation of Blazers fan dedicated to insisting that while maybe Drexler isn't quite as good as Jordan, actually it's closer than you might think and Jordan is overrated due to this, this and this. It's better to just appreciate the greatness of Jordan and Curry, let go of the need to run the other guy down and forget the comparisons. Curry out-classes Lillard in just about every way; that's no shame, as Curry is likely to go down as a top-ten of all-time player and Lillard can fall short of that and still be a clear Hall of Famer.

If you remove the season they were blatantly decided to tank he has been dependable enough so not sure what this is about.
Normally i agree with your posts but with this one i disagree from first to last word really.
Be is way better defensive and offensive player than Dame and I m pretty sure he works way harder on both ends of the floor.

Yeah it's almost like comparing Drexler to Jordan. There honestly was no comparison IMO. Drexler was great without question. Drexler was a HOF player while playing here. Jordan was the best ever to play the game.

idk about the "full recovery" thing. He dropped like a stone in the draft because of his back injuries in college. One report said that he could barely walk before draft time. We'll see.

It could be the nightmare scenario for the Nuggets - get him cheap because of injuries, pay him big because he's awesome, then he can't play because of injuries and stuck with his contract.

Because the actual, secret owner of the Nuggets is McCollum's mom?
