Okay… give him the max… i suppose. I wish he would take less, but this man deserves whatever it takes to keep him happy.

    You are trolling right? Lol

You just compared Lillard to the devil?

if you couldn't tell the sincerity in his voice in that interview, well…

Why people want this man gone at all is beyond me.

"I want him to win a ring somewhere else cause he's never going to here." He's already on record MULTIPLE times saying he wants to do it here and only here and if he doesn't win a ring here he can live with that.

And I can too, because God damn its not always about the ring. It's about having someone who loves this fucking city, treats people right and stands for what he believes in. If we got a ring with him it'd be fucking amazing. But if we don't, we got to watch a Blazer lifer commit to this town unlike anyone we will see again. And I don't know about you, but thats pretty fucking sweet.

people were comparing it to the Wolves moving on from Garnett but that didn't produce a championship or even a playoff spot...still hasn't....all it did was see KG get a ring in Boston....didn't benefit the Wolves at all in the long run

the irony that is lost here is that this dude (jason dumas-- originally from philly, currently working in the Bay) was one of the people continually parroting this idea during the summer that dame would get traded to Philly. Now he's posting these videos and shit like this ...

Exactly. Is John Stockton less of a hero in Utah because they didn't win? Or Karl Malone?

    Sure, both are ass clowns...

I'm not interested in Dame winning a tittle, I'm interested in Portland winning a title. And imho, their best chance to do that is with him on the team. How many teams have won titles after trading away a superstar? MAYBE Toronto, but to call DeRozan a superstar is a stretch of all stretches.

On a day where Dame said this. The motherfuckers at ESPN had this as their front page story?!?

Five big Damian Lillard trades we want to see the Portland Trail Blazers pursue

I'm just going to give you the trade and the moron who proposed it.

    Kevin Pelton

    Portland gets:
    Juancho Hernangomez
    Al Horford
    Aaron Nesmith
    Payton Pritchard
    Dennis Schroder
    2022 first-round pick
    2024 first-round pick
    2026 first-round pick (top-10 protected 2026, top-4 protected 2027, unprotected 2028)
2028 first-round pick (top-4 protected 2028 if previous pick conveys in 2026; converts to 2028 second-round pick if not conveyed)

    Boston gets:

    Damian Lillard
    CJ Elleby
    Ben McLemore
    Tony Snell
    Cody Zeller

My two cents. The fucking Celtics get Dame for these players... not one of which is sniffing an all star game in their future and picks rendered useless due to Dame, Tatum, Brown, Williams etc.

    Bobby Marks

    Portland gets:

    Tobias Harris
    Tyrese Maxey
    Matisse Thybulle
    2022 first-round pick (top-10 protected)

    Philadelphia gets:

    Damian Lillard
    Cody Zeller

Not as bad but then the Sixers trade Simmons for a legit PF and win the chip. I don't think Maxey is a future superstar and I know neither of the other two are. That pick is likely in the high 20s

    Andre' Snellings

    Portland gets:

    Collin Sexton
    Isaac Okoro
    Kevin Love
    2022 first-round pick (from CLE)
    2022 second-round pick (from HOU)
    2024 first-round pick (from CLE)

    Cleveland gets:

    Damian Lillard
    Robert Covington

Sexton has to be extended or matched, Okoro is a role player, Love is an albatross contract and the picks are all basically second rounders when you put Dame with this team that is already over .500 with Sexton out.

    Tim Bontemps

    Portland gets:
    D'Angelo Russell
    Taurean Prince
    2024 first-round pick (unprotected)
Rights to swap 2025 first-round picks (top-1 protected)
2026 first-round pick (top-3 protected, then becomes unprotected in 2027)
2028 first-round pick (two years after previous pick conveys, top-3 protected 2028, becomes unprotected 2029)

    Minnesota gets:
    Damian Lillard
    Ben McLemore

So Dame for DLo and we get picks from the Lillard, Towns, Edwards era in Minny.

    Kevin Arnovitz

    Portland gets:

    Tyrese Haliburton
    Davion Mitchell
    Marvin Bagley III
    Tristan Thompson
    2023 first-round pick (from SAC)

    Minnesota gets:

    Buddy Hield
    Cody Zeller

    Sacramento gets:

    Damian Lillard
    Patrick Beverley
    Tony Snell
    Jaden McDaniels
    2022 second-round pick (from MIN)

    Oklahoma City gets:

    Jake Layman
2022 second-round pick (from WSH, via MIN)

Well it's a four team deal so I doubt it could even happen but it is the best yield out of these shitty ideas that we get for Dame if we're going to start a rebuild around young players.

Wow, those are pretty terrible. Seems like Sacramento is the only team that gives up an intriguing prospect, everyone else is basically sending picks as the centerpiece.

And every one of those trades makes the team that gets Dame an instant contender if not title favorite. So the picks are shitty too.

It’s so funny, these mainstream media guys don’t even realize the more they push the idea of him leaving the more he’s gonna wanna stay (not that he wouldn’t stay either way). He does NOT care for people telling him what he should do, and it’d be obvious to anyone who bothered to pay attention.

It's seriously like North Korean propaganda with Dame and us being targeted like the USA. It's senseless. It's incredibly disrespectful to Dame. It also shows how the media looks at our team because it's small market and out here in the PNW by itself. They would never disrespect the Knicks this way and the Knicks have been less relevant than us for a long ass time.

Terrible example. Malone didn't finish his career in Utah, so you can't even use that one. Stockton-to-Malone had a heck of a lot of playoff success, of the type Dame hasn't even sniffed. If they had his playoff history, I doubt they'd be nearly as revered.

As to point #2: "their [Portland] best chance to do that is with him on the team." It sounds nice in theory, but it takes rose colored glasses to believe it to be true. With a classic one-way player being the central figure in everything the team does, and sucking up too much of the salary cap to get much help, it's unlikely Dame will ever compete for a championship in Portland, let alone win one. The team will always be trying to cover for its cornerstone.

I'm okay with that, as long as the team is competitive and plays an enjoyable brand of basketball. I just don't share the loyalty-loving delusion that some of you do.
