It seems like the 'expansion' here was to treat Spanish-speakers and non-Spanish speakers alike. The Trump admin made only the Spanish speakers stay in Mexico.

I do not know but it could be that the current admin felt that discriminating based on native language was inappropriate or illegal.

This is related to Russia and China's military expansion over the last 5 years more than anything concerning Afghanistan...the entire West Pac aliance is scrambling to build a Naval presence in asia given China's expansion and now Russia looks to knock on the door of invading Ukraine...which Nato is preparing for....fighting two wars on two fronts is entirely possible ...the world is in a shakey political mess right now

I don't get it....Joe didn't empower China and Russia to expand their military...that happened under your guy...did you even read my post about the topic or are you just flinging cartoons around? The entire free world is scrambling to check China and Russia and thanks to Joe at least we're friendly with our allies again instead of calling them all losers like the last mistake in office...both the UK and Australia are putting the blame where it belongs....world news is not bound to American politics...I for one am glad to see Joe stand up for Taiwan in face of these threats and I have family there....I respect our stance concerning that democratic nation that's being bullied.

Respect Joe for his honoring of Bob Dole ...a guy who put country before party when he was younger and active in American politics....class has returned to the oval office as oppossed to the death of John McCain and the white house reaction to that..... refreshing to say the least

It is simply another excuse to throw money at our military, while ignoring America's problems. We can tackle both, we have the means, yet there is literally no will in the democrat party to do so. Shameful.

In this case it's more counterpunching in the world theatre....at least the dems have alloted stimulus infrastructure legislation...the other party has not and both have believed in military dominance...the military chess game has gone on our whole lives and is so profitable that it goes beyond nationalistic policy...arms dealers have no interest in nationalism other than for profit....I think that's the evil in the equation....

Dude, I'm always flinging around tongue-in-cheek stuff. Relax. Plus, Joe ain't runnin' the show. They all know it. I'm pretty sure he's cringing right about now.

He repaired our alliances and restored our faith in NATO and the Pacific Rim alliances..I call that doing his job...not cringing....which they all have been doing for several years now. Actually he probably is cringing about how your party has let so many traitors and crooks off the hook for partisan gains. Joe is the bandaid president ....all he has to do is keep democracy afloat in the midst of this new authoritarian movement by your party of choice and for the first time since before Jimmy Carter was prez....he sent 5 govt officials to meet with the president of Taiwan...that is not cringing in the face of China...the military buildup in China, Iran, N Korea and Russia was enormous during Trump's twitter insult reign of bullshit...made us the laughing stock of some powerful adversaries. Now Joe gets to sort that shit out

    Mmm-hmm.

You didn't need to provide these examples, your first statement was clear enough.

Yeah, I know. And, all the while, he's adored by our own citizens.

After the 2020 election, Georgia Republicans never wanted to see a Democrat win again. They passed extreme gerrymander that gave them big majority in both state legislature and Congressional delegation. And a voter suppression law aimed at making it really hard for the wrong people to vote. And which allowed Republicans to overturn any county election board. In about six counties they removed Black board members and replaced them with white Republicans. Two such counties have already enacted yet more voter suppression, ending Sunday voting in one and consolidating seven precincts into one in the other, guaranteeing lengthy travel time and long lines to vote. They are now going after Fulton County, which includes Atlanta. They have to stop Black people from voting before Stacy Abrams can be elected. David Purdue announced he is challenging Republican governor. He has no political platform. He is running on loyalty to Trump, because Governor Kemp would not overturn results of presidential election. He had vowed he will do so for Trump.

America has literally been holding the planet back since world war 2. America is the aggressor and main exploiter of this planet. As long as that is the case, I can't believe a word anyone else has to say on the subject.

America is holding back this planet, so no other country can take it's top spot. 4-5 % of the population of the planet (America), tells the rest of the planet how to live. We are a sick country, run by sick people.

America, the richest country in history, should have the some of, if not the best infrastructure on the planet already. And yet America is a crumbling, falling down wreck. Our bridges across the country get low grades, I will leave it at that, as the list here of American infrastructure rot is lengthy. And we all know it. Why? Tax breaks for the rich. Their taxes help to pay for America's infrastructure, schools and so on. Since Ronald Reagan we have been giving our richest citizens tax breaks. When you add up all that tax money that America should have collected from Reagan to G.W. Bush's to Trump's tax cuts. You see where America's tax revenue is going, to fill some A-holes offshore bank account. All thanks to our two parties tilting the game literally in favor of the ultra rich.

From what I understand, Biden isn't even going to get back half of Trump's tax breaks to the rich. That is, if he even gets to them at all. If he doesn't, can we just say that they don't care to ever get that tax money back from them? Because that is the true case here, they don't care to do so, ever.

It's not a wonder to me why America is the way it is today. The lies coming from both parties are tearing this country apart.

To me the country has been torn apart politically since Nixon ran against Kennedy...so much that we saw JFK killed, his brother killed and Martin Luther King Jr killed in short order by people who were anti democratic party.......since Reagan the titans of fortune have influenced which party would tip the scales in an election and all politicians need the wealthy vote or they won't get out of the primaries...sadly that's the way a greedy system stays in power....any social infrastructure bills or stimulus to the working class is shunned by the GOP every administration without fault so yeah...both parties have to play give and take but one takes a lot more than the other in my view......I have been an independant voter for a long time now but the GOP is the most separative of our political parties....the dems at least do not have the KKK and Q Anon support...that tells you alot.
