of course not other than size and position and what we "wished" for in him...Sabonis actually turned into that guy...that was my whole point

Nurk is not part of the solution, the dude is lazy, inconsistent, and plays small. I don’t care if he has one good game a week and looks like a world beater, he ain’t that guy.

8 of those are better than Nurk.

Yeah your analysis is spot on, wish you were in charge.

Always wanted to see what the worst offensive team of all time would look like.

Wish I was too cause that underachiever would be gone. We aren’t winning with Nurk, you never know which Nurk you’re getting and that’s not good enough. Too many seasons of this shit have passed, he is who he is, an inconsistent above average player when engaged who doesn’t maximize his potential. That doesn’t all of a sudden change.

The second post you quoted was an obvious rebuild post, that roster plus 5 1s would be bad for awhile but most rebuilding teams are.

As I've been saying.... I don't think the Pacers will ever tear down that team for a complete overhaul. I would still keep them in mind as a CJ landing spot.

    From the owner himself:

“We are not a franchise that is going to dump to get a better pick,” he said. “We’re going to try to win every game. Sometimes we’ll develop rookie players, which may cost us a game, but we’re never gonna to go into a game to lose while I’m an owner. I don’t believe in it. Some teams do, but I don’t believe in that.

"If you remember, going back to Donnie Walsh, we always built without tearing down. We built on the go. We can do the same thing. We can have a good team and get better rather than break it up to get better. As a fan, I don't want to do that. And I don't believe our fans deserve to see a team that's purposely losing. I don't ever want to be accused of that."

This is why they are known as "Blazers East"

the last time they made a pick in the top 9 of the draft was in 1989. that's not like us at all (Oden/Aldridge/Roy/Dame).

What is Detroit's theory here? Worse player on an expiring contract.

They want an expiring contract, apparently.
(And I don't think Nurk is actually worse - he's just not as useful to as many teams.)

    Alternatively:

But this one necessitates a follow-up Nurk trade, perhaps:
