I can't remember any grocery stores being forced to shut down. Heck, even the convenience stores stayed open throughout.

Here's a easy one, masking young children on planes should not be mandated.

Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly on Wednesday said “masks don’t add much” additional protection against Covid on planes because airborne pathogens are captured by the HEPA filtering system.

Gary Kelly made this statement during a hearing on airline oversight before the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.

“The statistics, I recall, is that 99.97 percent of airborne pathogens are captured by the HEPA [high-efficiency particulate air] filtering system, and it’s turned over every two or three minutes,” Kelly said.

“I think the case is very strong that masks don’t add much, if anything, in the air cabin,” he said. “The environment is very safe, very high quality compared to any other indoor setting.”

Yeah so basically what I said. You have an issue with something that provides protection from death/hospitalization.

My issue is with taking away peoples jobs, mandating different testing/quarantine protcols, and discriminating based on a false premise.

We definitely agree on that. A lot of people can keep their jobs however if they simply get a free vaccine. I just don't understand why it's so problematic for so many people.. oh yeah, politics, TV and social media.

right. I never said they did.
The point was made that walmart and target sell food so they stayed open.
Im saying there are plenty of grocery only stores for people to get food that stayed open.
Large corps like walmart and target could have absorbed the shut down much easier than small businesses.
Yet they were allowed to stay open because they sell food, was the assumed point of a rebuttal.

im saying thats a not a valid rebuttal based on the what i just said.

But why shut them down when they weren't vectors and they are also very important places to buy food? My family ordered groceries from Walmart a lot during the shutdown... Still do.

allowing a store to deliver is different than closing them down.
I addressed the space factor you brought up earlier. Still bottle necks at the registers with many more people than small businesses.

were small businesses allowed to do takeout only innotially?

And if indoor spaces are okay wouldn't all outdoor spaces? But yet trump assemblies had massive surges outdoors? I would think outdoors would always be a better vector than any indoor warehouse?

Sorry. It just doesn't add up.
Money rules many many things in this world.

Yes. Everyday. People discuss things here and you try to make drama about it.

But then some people chase other people around the forum calling them names they asked you not to call them.. just to create drama so you can then point the finger at them….

Some people make it personal…but cant handle when it gets tossed back at them…

    here we go. Every day….

You know ive never really reported you to the mods, let alone do what you think i did.
Some people are curt and straight forward and deal with the issue head on instead of go tattling on someone. Or play stupid games.

Cant have a fucking conversation without some asshole trying to undermine it….

so correct. Here we go again. Started with a dumbass post.
Here we go again. Like trying to create Canby drama then blaming it on someone else.
    Here we go again!

ive never met someone who tries to create so much drama and then act so innocent.

    the maturity is astounding…

Would a mod like to address what im doing wrong again to spark such comments from this guy????? Please educate me as to what is wrong with phats and i talking?

    please?

    @SlyPokerDog ?

What shit am i starting now by discussing with phat the mandates???

    Anyone???

Trump's rallies didn't have many mask wearers who practices social distancing.

Most stores had limits allowed inside, which prevented huge lines. And the lines still had 6ft spacing.

    *The facts are pretty indisputable.

The small businesses that were closed down were closed because they were vectors and were not essential.

Small businesses which were essential and were not significant vectors didn't shut down.

Churches were given more leeway because of the religious aspect. And a great many outbreaks were centered around churches.

*Edited* to remove unnecessary observation about OB's intent.

The local restaurants in the town of 3k people I live near survived by becoming food carts...they served food out the front door and hired a driver to deliver their food....they are a mom and pop as you could be but they are all still in business...Walmart had curbside shopping so there was no need to go in the store for anything ....smart....not govt conspiracy, just smart business plan...Walmart didn't get huge by being dumb at what they do...they also have warehouses and their own trucking firms....no mom and pop has that going on.

No, not following. First you said mom and pop groceries had to shut down and Target and Walmart were allowed to stay open.

But that wasn't true. The reality is that both small and large grocery stores stayed open.

Now you are saying that Target and Walmart should have been shut down and small groceries should have been allowed to stay open.

So, now you are arguing for application of the mandates in order to punish the large corps in favor of the small ones.
