wrong.....tasers will put a big mf'er down ....it's disarm not kill that the guy should have gone for...he could easily wrestle those scissors from her without shooting her and if he did shoot her it should have been in the leg...she'd have stopped

Not a guarantee. Stab wound in the jugular would kill him. Unhinged people are unpredictable.

When its your own life at stake, you kill the threat. You don't underestimate anyone.

Her actions caused her death. Nothing more.

what does employment have to do with it? Guns don't always work either but I could take that woman's scissors away with a bar towel......

If you did, it would be justified.

If he waits to enter maybe she puts someone else in danger?

I personally would have went with tazing first but i just don't see how this officer is guilty of anything other than self defense.
Its really easy to couch quarterback these things but in reality these things happen fast and when you feel your life is threatened, self defense is the logical recourse.

Anyone ever been in a real knife fight?

If i have a gun, im shooting someone with a knife. It avoida up close confeontation. He doesnt know if she also has another knife or gun in her back pocket.
She created this and she paid for it.
    Cop is innocent.
Many assumptions made here that arent afforded to the officer to take time to think it out snd still possibly be wrong.
Is she high on meds? Let me stop an… shit. Stabbed in the jugular….

Were all bad asses until the shit actually happens.

I'm sure the laws will protect him but good policing would see this incident as excessive force...you can disable this woman without killing her and she only had a pair of scissors...he had the gun trained on her for the whole argument...she had no element of surprise.. These things are case by case...not kill and ask questions later...you can also shoot and disable a person without killing them which is what cops are actually trained to do....this guy made a decision he can't take back....if he winged her he'd have her in cuffs not in an ambulance.

It's easy to do.....get some self defense training and you'll see...you don't need a gun in this situation...you might want a chance to shoot it but it isn't necessary....and bartowels are great in knife fights or sharp object attacks....but hey...aren't you carrying a sword around anyway?

No, I keep it if anyone is going to burst into my apartment or in case society falls apart and I need to go somewhere.

I've taken a knife away from an attacker once..it was a student in Hawaii who flipped out in class.....it doesn't make me a bad ass at all...just someone who could control an out of control situation...I've also learned basic self defense techniques and taught some people how to avoid serious injury when attacked...which also doesn't make you a bad ass......and as far as drugs or meds....adrenaline mixed with anger is a hell of a drug on it's own..if this woman is guilty of anything it's being dumb, racist and having a suicide by cop death wish
