Shut down the league now before the wives and children get sick for our entertainment. Let them practice only with negative results and shoot for reopening next spring. This Covid winter blizzard is not worth the risk. Same with traveling or vacationing. It’s beyond high risk for the next two to three months after all it’s just a game that can start up later on

Since the pandemic has started I’ve never seen so many people infected within my circle. And nearly all of them are fully vaccinated. Crazy

What does them being fully vaccinated have to do with anything?

vaccination does not help you get immune to the virus, it only helps prevent the disease from getting extremely serious.

I believe vaccines are suppose to be a deterrent, for specific virus's. Not just a "oh you wont get as sick' remedy.

I’m still seeing so many people in stores not wearing masks. Unbelievable!

People still don't know how vaccinations work? How is that even possible?

None of these dudes would even know they were sick as most of them are vaccinated. That’s the whole point of the vaccination and also why the league is looking at shortening isolation rather than shutting down the league. It has been kinda fun seeing all these players get opportunities though, as unfortunate as the circumstances are.

btw we have two dudes in protocols, but I’m not sure a two way counts so we probably don’t have to sign anyone off the street just yet. But I’m guessing that’s coming once others enter protocols. Wonder who gets the first call.

Many initial reports of people with the new variant seem to have fairly light symptoms whether they are vaccinated or not.

Maybe that will help herd immunity.

    Be safe.

This is true. However it's so contagious that even a lower percentage of patients going to the hospital may overwhelm ICUs like we haven't seen yet.

And agree 100%, fingers crossed that if we have to go through this, enough people get immunity to end the pandemic.
