I know that, i posted the link. I don't know what their interpretation is. Seems like it is a contested subject amongst resellers. But, i think someone is fine sending a book media mail unless it is a comic book or has advertising.
Last thing I had shipped was in 2020 my Martin guitar from Pennsylvania.....Fed Ex dropped it on my porch which has a covered roof.....no problem...The tracking was accurate....I didn't sign for it and it's an expensive instrument but it came when I was on a hike and I saw the truck drive up the hill while hiking.....My wife and son use Amazon all the time without issues ....I don't shop much online myself.

Get an accordian or a concertina aka squeeze box. I travel and camp with a uke....very good place to start if you like portability and very, very easy to learn basic chords on. An autoharp is cool too...Emmy Lou Harris plays one as does Dolly Parton....just push buttons and strum.

No, company policy is for the driver to either knock on the door or ring the door bell. They have to leave packages at our front door because the alternative is to leave a package in the driveway right in front of the garage door. We need either a door bell ring or a hearty knock on the front door so we can come to the door to accept the package right away. In the rare instance that we are not home they always attempt to deliver it the next day and in the even rarer instance we are not home at the time the driver arrives we accept responsibility and pick it up at the designated UPS office.
True. A friend of mine shipped a ton of books by railroad from Portland to Toronto for a song. Greyhound will also ship printed matter very cheap as will the USPS.
