What do you mean? Philly is 7 games above .500. I don't think they'll fall into the play-in and if they did I don't think they'd lose but hey what the fuck do I know.

I’m sure he meant our lotto pick is going to PHI. If it’s outside the top 5, I’m ultimately okay packaging it to PHI with CJ for Ben if that’s all it took.

I would absolutely not give the Sixers our pick for Simmons. No chance. So they can trot out Lillard and Simmons, and what, be a 5th seed?

Huh? If all it took was CJ and say the #7 pick? You’d have Dame. Ant. Little. Ben. Nance. Whatever young guys and salaries come from a Nurkic Covington Powell trade. Jalen Smith would be a fantastic guy to look at in FA. You also have the picks you would get from the deadline deal(s), plus all of your own. CJ + our lotto pick on draft night (of course if it’s high enough you keep it) would be less than you would have to give up for Simmons RIGHT NOW. Who knows, maybe a guaranteed pick in the top half of the lotto makes them reconsider on CJ. Maybe you add Watford to the deal as well.

oh LMAO my bad dude. Who at #6 or #7 do YOU think would make us better than the 5th seed just by drafting him?

    I’m saying

    Lillard
    Simmons
    Simons
    Little
    Nance
“And a bunch of young guys”

Doesn’t win shit. It doesn’t beat Phoenix, GS, Denver when healthy, Utah, Memphis, likely the Lakers etc still. So therefore I would not give up a first round pick to get Simmons duuuuuuuude

Sooooo you can or can’t think of a guy around #6 that will suddenly help our team win shit? I’m just confused, my bad dude.

To be fair, where has that #6 pick got this team in terms of being anywhere close to being a contender?

Unload everyone over 24. Trade vets for picks and players under 25. Tatum and Brown and Shai GA type guys. Good young players. Don’t want the OKC route of five thousand picks. Just adjust the time frame of our roster. This ain’t it.

If Philly keeps Simons passed the trade deadline, I can see where Ben might come back for the stretch run. Then will demand a trade again in the Summer.

I could also see Ben and Klutch telling Morey to go fuck himself. Also don't forget that Embiid has continued to cryptically talk shit about Ben this entire time. I do not think that Ben will play for the Sixers again, I just don't think it will happen. If he had his people telling him that they need him to then maybe but Rich Paul will be telling Ben not to cave in because if Rich can show the teams in the league that his players will actually follow through on sitting a whole season if trade demands aren't met, then trade demands from Klutch clients mean a lot more.

no way he’s ever playing for philly again. My guess is they’ll trade him at the draft.

I think that keeping him past the trade deadline is all one huge bluff from Morey. One last ditch effort to drive the price up (because the value is really set and the only thing being negotiated is the price for Simmons). I think in the next 29 days or whatever it is, that Morey will take the deal that he likes the most. I think there are deals out there right now that would take them from pretender to contender. I don't think a GM can squander the opportunity to contend now when it's just there for the taking but Morey does seem to be a stubborn guy. I guess we'll see really soon.

Unless he can get Fox, it still seems CJ is the best get for them if he can't find anyone younger. I'm hoping the Blazers can get this done but history tells us probably not.
