If you don't follow some sort of debate format then people will not believe you and will start ignoring your posts. Now, in that case why would a person post here? My reason for making a post is to illuminate some subject and hopefully provide something for people to agree with else why would I bother to post to an empty audience?
Debate demands that when you make an assertion and when asked for evidence you back things up else the writer will be regarded as nothing more than hot air. I don't believe you want people to regard you as nothing more than hot air, therefor, show some evidence.
