People should be upset that our very own government is helping this pandemic to continue on by protecting corporate profits. But, I can't control other peoples outrage I guess.

Well I finally got my test results from Monday a couple of hours ago, negative!

I guess I beat it quickly, or maybe didn’t have it. I only had a sore throat for a few days, super tired. I feel like something is up with my lungs tho

Here in LA they have these sketchy looking COVID test tents set up in random parking lots. Seems like the lines are short, no clue how these work or if they are scammy.

 

I remember times when people would talk about putting people on ignore cuz of a ribbing someone or some folks couldn’t take (and I completely mean that in the general sense, not directed towards anyone, I promise). Now, we’re talking about deaths from COVID and I see stoopid shit on this board talking about why we should ignore each other. j. f. c.

my 401k: 28% growth in 2021, if I counted all of my contributions as of year-end, not beginning or over the course of the year. I can live with that.

 

I still believe in real estate over stocks, tho. My agent that helped us buy our Hawaii house says we could sell for 30% more than we purchased 9 months ago. Can’t argue there.

 

The Trump/McConnell court decision blocking vaccine mandate is written in such a way that it can be used to eliminate any workplace safety laws. They wrote people can catch Covid anywhere, not just at work so OSHA law doesn't apply. There are no workplace hazards that don't also exist elsewhere. Noise? People are exposed to loud noise at concerts and sporting events. Air quality? People are exposed to bad air in cities. Pesticides? They are in neighbor's garden. Heavy lifting? Motor vehicle safety? All exist outside workplace.

This court is not conservative. They are not conserving anything. They are radical right wing activists using the court to implement far right Republican agenda of no civil rights, no voting rights, no workplace or environmental or consumer protection, no religious freedom for non Christians, with no regard for law or Constitution.
