    dumb move

westbrook has accomplished more in his career than the kings franchise for the last 40 years

That Kings team with Webber, Peja, Bibby, Christie and Divac was sick. They almost won a title.

they are still a laughing stock of a franchise with one short lived good moment 20 years ago.

Russ is an MVP, hall of famer and has probably played as many playoff games himself as the kings hve the last 30 years

Sure it’s fun to pile on him now but the Kings are the ice cold franchise

I agree. It was a classless move.

Your comment just got me remembering that team. I was rooting for them.

hah, that's a shocking stat. and yes he has. In the last 30 yrs, Kings have appeared in 73 playoff games. Russ has in 111. Dame himself has played in 61 thru his career.

Jim Taylor head of PR. Resigned after 24 years. Quality dude, will be missed.

Cool side note on JT…..used to be the GM of the Timbers back in their minor league days and he is the one that basically created the Timbers Army.

hard to tell right now, in his 118 nba games, his fg% is bellow 40%, 3-point shot barely over 30%, not sure about his defense

this season, his fg% is 40%, 3-point shot 38%, so thats solid improvement, well see if he can improve further, hell likely get a bigger role with the knicks

knicks have nothing to lose, they can only gain if things work out

The end goal for them seems to be to land Zion. So in the grand scheme of things, I think it’s a good get. It’s a great get if he ever became what he was projected to be.

At this point, Zion is a scary asset to have. I’d have to thing about it real hard, but if the Knicks were willing to bet the farm for Zion and rest their future of 3 kids younger than even me (barely mid-20s and I still feel like a kid lol) then I’d consider making the trade next year.

If most anyone on s2 had a job that paid them $1 mil/year, they'd make the job their "end-all-be-all". Russ is getting paid 50x that, and right now he's sucking. Playing in the NBA is a privilege - what a fucking idiot.

LeBron said some shit like this a few years back how "None of it(basketball) means anything, it's all about his family and this and that" Shit, if you put $200M in my account I could afford to say things like that as well. Players forget what it's like to be broke.
Shit, you know how many games/plays/back to school nights and holidays I've missed the last 20 years. Of course that other shit means more, but you gotta grind and hustle.

    1) They're coached to say things like that. Sports psychology type stuff. 2) It's a way of deflecting the criticism that comes with the occupation. Most people can't relate to that kind of scrutiny and what it takes to cope with it and go on functioning. Downplay the importance of basketball so you can pretend to not care what people say about you.
