It's funny because the number of people who hate Mario has grown in leaps and bounds since he bailed. Not sure how many people would have argued with you a year ago.

I was agreeing with you and providing evidence to back your point that PM... "had a much better team around him." I made no reference to the skills of Herbert or Mahomes. I will continue to be relaxed and suggest that you might mix in some decaf or at least read whats been written before responding.

I literally was making a joke because I have no idea about all of it.

College football is a fucking joke so there's that too. And it's not even about the sport that makes it a joke. :)

I didn't hate Cristobal I was just unimpressed. I'm excited to go a new direction and see what happens.

What I want to know is how many recruits did they lose with the coaching change?

*Strenuus-I'd deleted the post you quoted when I realized others had made the same point I did about Oregon's mediocre to poor WRs/TEs

But I'm curious, why is college football any more of a joke then any other sport?

I enjoy both college and pro football.
What Im losing interest in is MLB. If they limited teams too, 1 middle reliever & 1 closer, and kept the game at 2 hours max, and added some family marketing, the game may stand a chance to be viable in 5 years. Otherwise I dont think it looks good for MLB down the road. Soccer will surpass it. Demographics are not favorable too MLB, will younger fans and families lose interest as time goes on?

I didn't hate CMC, I appreciated the accomplishments and the progress he seemed to be making while noting issues with in game management and style of play. I absolutely did hate that he constantly preached family/loyalty only to bolt mid-season before the first class he recruited as HC even graduated. That me-first hypocrisy negated most of whatever positives I felt for him.

Probably 10ish. Most their top recruits. Would've been near a top 10 class had he stayed.

Lanning is appearing to do a decent job salvaging the class given that he hasn't been able to recruit full time for Oregon until this week and given Oregon's limited scholarships.

I thought Mario was great! He's the first one who understood just how great of a racecar Uncle Phil had built for the Ducks.

Now hopefully we have a young talented driver to take us past the checkered flag.

Kelvin Banks OL (5-star 15th rated recruit in nation)
Tetairoa McMillan WR (4-star 46th rated recruit)
    Dave Iuli OL/DL 4-star
    TJ Dudley
    LB 4-star
    Tanner Bailey 4-star QB
    Emar'ion Winston 3-star LB
    Cameron Williams 3-star OL
    Landon Hullaby Safety 3-star
    Andre Dollar TE 3-star
    Stephon Johnson WR 3-star

all the above were verbally committed and de-committed after the coaching change. No chance to get any back except for maybe Iuli

    Jahlil Florence CB 4-star
    Trejon Williams Safety 4-star
    Gracen Halton DL 4-star

those 3 de-committed but the Ducks have a good chance of getting the first two to come back. Maybe a decent chance at Halton

the Duck have picked up Bo Nix (QB), Sam Taimani (DL), and Christian Gonzalez (CB) from the transfer Portland

and they have a shot at signing:

Josh Conerly (5-star OL rated 23rd best player in the nation)
Christen Miller (4-star DL) (visiting UofO this weekend)
Jordan James (3-star RB) (visiting UofO this weekend)

there's also some buzz about a 4 star RB, and a 4-star athlete. Also a couple of Georgia DB's who have entered the transfer portal

In Sly’s case, it’s spelled “chastity”.

I don’t think he understood the race car. Chip Kelly did.

If he knew he had a nice shiny Ferrari in the garage why did he insist his team drive like they were in a rusty Corolla.

I liked Cristobal’s chops as a recruiter and I love building the foundation in the trenches. But even meat and potatoes coaches like Saban understand you gotta be a little more innovative and let the reigns down on offense.

That iteration of the RPO was about as week as it gets and to hamper the future of the program with a 28 year old quarterback who made just as many mistakes and missed just as many throws as a freshman is just asinine to me.

The racecar in my analogy are the facilities. Mario used what Oregon has to get top recruits. Chip recruits like shit.
