That’s interesting. I’d be on board with that, but I think NOP would want to keep their vets and make a push to the playoffs for Zion and that might be a slight overpay for Norm. I’d take Murphy III in place of Hart too though.

Nas could hack it defensively as a 2, I think, but he'd certainly need another ball handler/playmaker/distributor (*cough* *cough*, Ben Simmons *cough* *cough*) to make up for what he is and isn't, offensively...

Would love to see Nas some at the '2'. He still needs to develop into some of those skills, but the advantage that would provide the team, would be tremendous. "Clyde-like" if he could get there.

we should be targeting these players, like Kenrich and Dort for example. Also, pretty cool to see Nas on here.

I dont think Naz handles the ball well enough to be a starting two guard. Not yet anyway.

True...not yet. That is why the mention of the needed development. But if he could do that, he becomes even more of a weapon.

well...what is the better trio at PG-SG-SF: Dame-CJ-Powell or Dame-Powell-Ingram? Pretty clearly it's the 2nd trio because it's a much more logical balance.

now, I can't remember what the discussion was on what was being traded. I was just talking about plugging in Ingram for CJ in terms of Portland's potential upside with either. There is no upside to Dame/CJ, we're there and it sucks. But sure, the Pels don't have to cooperate.

just a note, the value of FT's is that Ingram is averaging 2.3 more points on 0.2 less shots.

I don't think it matters much at all and shouldn't be a consideration. Ingram's contract runs thru 2025, which is 3.5 years from now. It ends the same time Dame's does.

    ***********************************************************

ok then, speaking of "disconnects". I'm talking about at least trying for a player like Ingram. Taking a bigger swing. You're talking bout adding guys like Bamba or Smith....right out of the olshey school of low expectations. They can be added to the TRob-Vonleh-Stauskas-Skal-Hezonja-Tolliver-Bazemore-Jones-RHJ-Giles-Leaf-Snell-Zeller ledger of players who are unlikely to make a bit of difference.

by the way, I was mainly talking CJ vs Ingram. I may have missed your point because you mentioned a lot more players

Turner over Sabonis is a total Neil Olshey move.

I hope this Turner stuff is either untrue or a smokescreen.

Yeah Turner the theory is much better than Turner the reality. Can’t believe I’m watching a pacers game again right now, but I hate him (or the idea of trading for him) more with every watch. If Blazer fans had to watch him every game, they would be over it pretty quick imo.

If we can find another center, we should try Nurk for OG.

I think we'd have to add a lot more to that deal.

I dont know why they'd move OG for an expiring nurk, or Turner for that matter.

Would Nurk be restricted? Would they have his bird rights?

He wouldn't be restricted but they definitely would have his bird rights.

is it your assumption that they have interest in nurk or you have some info

they do need a center, but ive never seen any rumour about them being interested in nurk
