Not counting DameGod, I'd go with Nas.

I think every team needs a player like Nas and especially what I think he could become but yes Simons has been exciting.

Ant and Nas feel like you just won back to back number 1 picks in the lottery and both are great choices but I'm going a little bit underdog here and say the guy who's surprised me the most this season sans Dame has been Dennis Smith Jr and a shoutout to Trendon Watford for showing that a two way player can put a draft pick like Greg Brown on the bench and earn a spot...I think Watford could turn out to be as good as Nas and he's just getting started...I think Dennis Smith Jr is one of our best two way pt guards right now...he's solid on both sides of the ball

Ant and Nas are our post Dame future. I wouldn’t trade either one.

    Now: Dame and Nurkic
All time: Dame, Mighty Mouse, Sheed

I also loved Sabonis but was always bummed that we never got to see him in the NBA earlier in his career. The guy we saw in the NBA was a broken down player, and he still balled. Him in his prime wouldve been HOF worthy.

Back in middle school my best friend and I were going through our basketball cards and stumbled upon someone and we wondered why he was in the NBA just based on his appearance and stats.

We joked around a bit about it but he slowly became an underdog favorite type of oddity. We would go around school saying his name to random people and inserting his name into conversations where it didn’t belong. During basketball we would take a shot and yell his name before it was customary to call “Kobe” or even “Jordan”.

I even remember carrying his card in my pocket for a while. The Blazers acquired him one year and my friend and I made to a game that he actually played in. Dude hit a three and we went nuts. Such a good memory.

    that man? John Crotty.

I’m in agreement that we truly do have some young players that we can build with - just need a couple bigs that could be added and then…let it bake!
